I will have a look upstairs tonight Sharon to see if I have my friends invite lying around.
Well I have spent some time this evening deciding gifts. Im going for
Chief bridesmaid- a compact mirror
Younger bridesmaid- a trinket box with her name on
flowergirl- im undecided between a trinket box and a little teddy
Best man- hip flask
I have run this all passed oh and he is fine with this, he was a bit concerned before about the costs as our budget is very tight but we have been saving money as we go along and Im aiming for under £10 each, just as a little token present more than anything.
Natalie- youve been so good today.0 -
You are all doing so well, congrats on all the things ticked off your lists! :j Emma - those are lovely gifts
We have all our thank you gifts sorted I think. Jewellery set and Willow Tree figurine for the bridesmaid, a fab leather wallet for the best man, and the florist is going to make up bouquets for our mums on the day.
WI tomorrow!!!! I'll be happy with a STS really, as the weekend eating wasn't great, but I am well back on the wagon today!
My invitations are nearly done, really wanted to have them posted by nowbut I can't complain. I'll have them out by next weekend!
Bought some decor bits off eBay today - I am blowing the budget a little on quirky knick knacks like vintage cameras etc but who cares! :rotfl:
I'M GOING TO SEE MY DRESS TOMORROW NIGHT, AHHHHHHHHHHH CANNOT WAIT :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:jVerytryingmummy wrote: »My names Sharon should really have put this somewhere.
The cupcakes were unreal even my oh loved them and he's not a cake person ( I wish I wasn't!)
My dress is still at the shop it did fit me perfectly when I found it in Feb but when I tried it on a couple of weeks ago it was a little tight I think I got carried away because it fit me. I'm still waiting to collect my bike but am going to start running again tonight I say running I go around the block then die but it helps.
Plus both my kids are home with me this week so lots of walks to parks etc to keep me away from the cupboards.
LOL! I'm sure it's normal to put on a little weight if your dress fits you, you start resting on your laurels ha ha!

Oooo how exciting Wanchai - are we allowed to see a photo of you in it??After all the turmoil over finding the right dress I can't wait to see it on you!! (I'm hoping to get a photo taken of me in my dress wearing my two pairs of shoes this weekend - will be happy to show you lot via PMs but noone else will see).
Today's jobs:
* Get a new tyre
* Take green waste to the tip
* Weed kill the paths0 -
Cue smug mode - I've done 1/3 of my jobs - weed killed all the front and side paths. Back ones are off limits just incase Bun ventures out and goes nibbling. Next job is popping to the tyre place, and might as well take the green waste with me and drop that off afterwards - kill two birds with one stone. Then what to do with the rest of my day so I'm not sat bored wanting to eat!!0
-
So I've been to get the tyre sorted - needed a new one - grrrr. And then went to take my garden trimmings to the recycling centre only to find it shut. A quick google reveals it's hours have been seriously slashed to now only being opened 4 days a week Fri-Mon!! How annoying!
So that's it - I've done as much of my jobs as I can do.0 -
:T the photoframes for our parents have arrived - they are perfect - very happy with them indeed....
but one of them was faulty so I've phoned debenhams and they are sending me a replacement
. Really pleased with them. These are the ones I got http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_327018275375P810_-1?breadcrumb=Home%7Etxt3270182753 with an extra 10% off and free delivery via quidco.
So this morning I ran round the house with my weed killer... and then this afternoon... it's rained!!! Sods law!!0 -
Hello
You sound like you've got plenty done Natalie! I have just got back from work (going again tomorrow, I must be mad! That will be the last time though).
For anyone going on holiday/honeymoon, I spotted in our local boots that almost all the suncream is on either half price or bogof at the moment - I am probably going to get some at some point this week while it's cheap.
Well the vicar from the local church rang me half way through my zumba class last night to tell me he was trying to fill our banns form in and could I give him some more information :rotfl: I had to get himm to ring OH instead lol. But at least that's done, and we have our banns dates for both churches now.
The DJ has replied to the email I sent and confirmed the final prices as well, and we are going to go into town on Thursday and pay for the suits. I feel a bit guilty because you know how OH wanted to wear tails, and that that is what we have provisionally booked... Well I wasn't all that keen anyway but I let him go with it because it's his day as well, bless him. Well his mum didn't seem that keen either and now I think he's having cold feet! (about the suits, not the wedding!) To be honest I don't really mind what he wears, but I want him to be in something he feels comfortable in. He tries his hardest to get out of wearing a tie for work so I can't see him feeling comfortable being all trussed up in a waistcoat and cravat! But I think he wants the whole big wedding thing and I've already reined him in on so many areas I feel a bit bad if he doesn't have this! Dilemma!
xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
Awwww at your OH going all groomzilliary on wanting the big wedding with all the little details like tails
I think it's lovely!!
Right off to go check boots out online - can always do with more suncream0 -
So I've just bought two lots of P20 (SPF20 version) 200ml for £29.90 from Amazon (cheaper than Boots). I've also ordered a little set of luggage scales - not so much for going out but more for when we're coming back just incase our diving stuff is still damp and weighs more.
But the thing I'm most pleased with is my airport parking. Just got us it for a total bargainous £22!! (For a weeks parking). I went through a site called https://www.looking4parking.com and booked the Manchester Flight Shuttle Services carpark. It was cheaper than if I went to the Flight Shuttle Services site direct, and all the other carparking sites I came across in the last hour of googling.(Most were around £35). Very happy indeed. So now all we need for the honeymoon is some spending money, and our medical dive insurance and we're all set to go
:T
Oh I also phoned up the restaurant for my 'hen' do and got that booked :T
I think I have literally done everything I could possibly do wedding wise that isn't date specific. *sigh*0 -
Wanchai- how was the dress???:j
Natalie- those photo frames are lovely, and sounds like you got really good customer service.
Mel- personally I would let your oh try on the suits again and go with whatever he wants- if he feels happy and comfy in tails then personally I would say let him go for it. (this is from the brave person who is clueless as what her oh is wearing!!:rotfl:)
Ok foodwise Ive been better today
Breakfast: honeynut shredded wheat with 1% milk
Snacks: yoghurt drink, plum
Lunch: salad (mixed green leaves, cucumber, toms, spring onion, raw mushrooms, ham)
Snacks: 6 revels
DInner: chicken goujons and salad (as above)
Snack: jam tart
And I went to the gym aswell!! I really need to get back on track so hopefully I can resist cake tonight!!
Oh your parking sounds a bargain Natalie.
Mel- who was it you booked your honeymoon through?0
