Welcome ghostlove- your day sounds lovely. Which country park are you going to? I see your info says your in Portsmouth so just wondered if it was local to there? (im close by, theres a few of us on here along the south coast). Hows the rest of your planning going?

Yep, Petersfield register office and then Queen Elizabeth Country Park. :D We're coming along well with planning, though it's pretty easy - we're having a very casual affair, the BBQ is bring-yer-own-food/drink, etc. The only really traditional thing we're doing is hiring a professional photographer - I'm an amateur and I knew I wanted decent photographs of our big day. :D
I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Ok, heres my not very good food for the day:
Lunch: I had a toasted kingsmill deli soft with cheese and some low fat smoked sausage with some green leaves, tomato and cucumber
Dinner: Lasagne with some potato wedges and some salad

Luckily because I went to the gym I am only about 100 cals over my daily allowance!

I may have a penguin later aswell if I want some chocolate! I think because whatever Im doing seems to be working I dont feel that encouraged to cut out the naughty things! I know that I probably would lose weight quicker but I do think that for me personally still allowing treats (in moderation) works.:D

Well done on being good again Natalie.

    My food diary:
    B - same old
L - left over chicken stir fry with a splash of nandos peri peri garlic sauce
S - whole fat yoghurt* (actually have one of these every time I write just 'yoghurt')
T - home made burger* using lean steak mince served with dry roasted veggies
S - 1 kitkat* (have run out of hotel chocolat chocs)

    * I definitely agree with you Emma, when I'm being 'good' I'm by no means depriving myself of anything other than pizzas/burgers/overly carby rice based indian dishes :rotfl: I have been talking to myself today though - telling myself that I do not need pizzas etc, I can stop drinking I can stop eating crap too. So far it seems to be working... ha!

Okay guys - I need some recommendations - next weekend I'm going away with some girls from work but I want to carry on eating sensibly. Lunch and tea won't be a problem as we will be eating out at carvary type places so I can be in control of what I eat and make sure I have loads of veg to fill me up. But breakfast is a bit less sorted - I am a big believer in breakfast - if I skip it I'll find it much harder to not indulge at lunch/tea. So I eat around 400 calories for breakfast so I was thinking of having some breakfast bards - looking at the special K ones I can have around three of them. Soo my question is can anyone recommend any tasty but filling ones? Thanks!

PS MrD is a star - he's just dyed my hair :)
  • How about Belvita biscuits? Ive had these before and thought they were nice, not as filling as a proper breakfast, but more filling than just the usual breakfast bars.

Yes I liked the belvita biscuits as well, they definitely filled me up more than a normal cereal bar would. Otherwise, get to a healthfood shop and buy a couple of NAKD oatie bars - they are AMAZING and soooo filling because they are just squished fruit and nuts - I'd be addicted to them if they weren't so expensive! http://www.naturalbalancefoods.co.uk/store/nakd-oatie-bars/default.aspx

They sell them in health food shops and I've seen them in supermarkets - my fav is coco loco and the berry one.

    xx
