ha I meant just the whole sitting in a pub chatting with mates :) Needless to say there would be some form of pudding involved :)

That is really lovely that with thanks to the help you are able to buy little bits that you wouldn't have bothered with before. :) Our budget is going okay - although the last few purchases (my shoes, and jewellery) could have been more MSE by waiting for sales/discounts rather than being bought on impulse/impatient. Over all though we are still on target for around £3k. And that is with some things added like a photographer and these bloomin tables :rotfl: who would have thought I'd be marrying a groomzilla :)

    Right tea time :)

    Day 4 - done!
    B - Same old
L - 1 homemade burger left over from last night, with 1 english muffin, 10 or so cherry tomatoes and a corn on the cob
    S - yoghurt
T - chicken dry fried with a splash of Nando's peri peri garlic chicken sauce, served with dry roasted veggies
S - 1 kitkat (fingers crossed some hotel chocolate chocs arrive tomorrow!)
  • Sounds like everyone has had a good weekend.

Pleased to hear your suits are sorted Emma. Another thing ticked off the list and it must of been nice for the boys to go out and choose their own and then end in the pub in true bloke fashion!

I forgot to say i love those RC shoes Natalie and a good buy when you consider you can dye them afterwards for 'everyday' wear.

I have to be honest i am in a bit of a grump and i haven't done anything wedding like this weekend. Not even posted my invites. I have been packing the garage and shed and arguing with H2B about all the stuff he hoards. Who needs 4 tents "just incase" and 8 freezer blocks for a picnic and 16 plastic plates and cups!!!!!!!!

I won some of the battle but not all and off we go to the tip in the sunshine yesterday afternoon. THEN some silly old lady cut across 3 lanes of the roundabout (she had got in the wrong lane and got confused-her words not mine!) and drove straight in to the side of my lovely car.:mad::mad: She claimed she didn't see me. My whole front of my car was infront of her so i wasn't in a blind spot. So now on top of moving, packing, being flat out pre exam season at work and wedding planning i have got to get my car sorted.:mad::mad:. Its not the end of the world i know, and no one was hurt but it is so annoying.

Sorry for the winge - needed a break from my marksheets - back to work for me!

Oh Mel, doesnt sound like youve had the best weekend. How annoying about your car, someone hit oh on a roundabout last year as they didnt know where they going and it is just so annoying as it causes added stress and hassle that you really dont need. Fingers crossed you wont be too inconvinced.

Oh said when they were in the shop a bloke was trying to sort out his suits but he had his wife to be there and apparently she kept moaning about what he was picking, so I think oh was quite glad I was trusting him to sort it all himself. I do hope the comments about a purple crushed velvet suit are just a joke!!:rotfl:. Im actually quite looking forward to the mens outfits being a suprise, oh did ask if I wanted to see (as I think he didnt want me to see but wanted my opinion on colour matching), so all he did was show me the cravat colour options against his flower, I know nothing else (and oh said hes hiding the paperwork incase I go snooping- he knows me far too well!!)

Well Im trying to be good today as my sneek peek on the scales todays was very good so I need to maintain it!

((hugs)) Mel! That really does suck!

My slipper socks came today and they are fab - they go all the way up to my knees - lovely and toasty! :D

Just coming to the end of a long weekend away from the slog of commuting to work and all the rubbish that's going on at work at the moment, don't get me wrong, I enjoy my job but there are times when some members of the management really do wind me up.

Anyways, went climbing on Friday afternoon and this morning. Spent Saturday chilling and deciding on a harness for climbing. Sunday was spent cleaning the house... why do we hoard so much.

    Back to the grind tomorrow.

We've had two verbal rsvps.. I want post - I enjoy getting post if it's nice and not bills!

Is anyone here not trying to lose weight? ;)
I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

lol ghostlove - it sometimes feels like we're all trying to lose weight - but reality is that some of the July brides aren't trying :)

Well I'm sat here starving - lol I know I know huge exaggeration but I am very hungry. I am THIS close to caving in and having some junk to eat - I don't remember giving up alcohol being this hard lol.

Mmm how has my Monday been? Ha - let's just say - I'm glad the work part of Monday is over! :D
  • I think trying to lose weight is a female common ground. I am reading Paul McKennas book at the moment and I can honestly say I have stuck to it and have ate half what I normally would. Fingers crossed i can stick with rules. I am fed up with feeling guilty for eating 'bad' food and over eating in general.

I have had a lovely message from an old army friend of 20yrs asking for hotel details for the wedding!! She just text to say she's booked a room!!! Yay, feels real now.
