    Hi everyone,

Still being good foodwise - partly I have no choice because I am so busy at the moment! Unfortunately my exercise plans have been thwarted for the next couple of days because we have visitors coming to school - yep we've had the ofsted call :( Wednesday and Thursday. If there is a random post from me on weds night just going ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR now you know why!

On a happier note, we went to the meeting with our venue just a little while ago. There have been quite a few changes since we first went, the room hire has gone up by £300 and the cost of some of the things we were going to have has gone up as well, but luckily they are holding us to what we were quoted! :T

Which means that we are getting the following things for around 1800 quid:
    • Room hire (including linen hire, private bar and patio area, and garden with a stream running through it)
    • Pimms reception drinks
    • Cold carved buffet for 60 (ham, turkey, salmon, veg option, roast potatoes, salads and bread, and chocolate eclairs)
    • Evening buffet for 120 (catering for around 90) (sandwiches, chips, scotch eggs, and two other things we haven't decided on yet- we'll serve the cake with it as well)

Now call me stupid but I don't think that's half bad?

Anyway - off to get some plans written up - so annoying that all my lessons are sorted out but I have to write ridiculous amounts info for it that probably won't even get looked at!

    See you all soon!
    xx
Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o

Ghostlove- I originally wasnt going to lose weight as my dress fitted perfectly- but then managed to put on about half a stone!:rotfl:

Melanie- thats lovely about the rsvp.

Oh said he didnt sleep very well last night- I think sorting out the suits made it seem a bit more real and I think hes actually looking forward to it!:D

Mel- thats great news that they are honouring their prices, and they are good prices aswell. It sounds a lovely venue. We are paying about £1400 for venue hire, a cold meat fork buffet (with some hot items) for about 45 people, an evening buffet for about 80 (hoping there will be about 100 evening guests in total) and Ive also included the cost of wine which we are providing and paying corkage on.

Mel- good luck with the Ofsted.

woohoo i've given out my first invitation to my mummy!:j Sending/delievering some more this week. So excited!

Starting to worry a little bit how we are going to cope with DD on the day as she will only be 7 1/2 months and at the moment i am feeding her, she should be on solids so hopefully will not be feeding from me as much but just got pictures of my boobs leaking through my dress. And thinking about where she will nap in the day (only really sleeps in day on me or OH slowly getting her nap in her basket)and sleep at night/during the evening reception. I'm sure we will sort something out and everything will be ok

    Good morning all. :)

Well I am 0.5lbs down from last Tuesday - which sounds great - but I'm 4lbs up from two weeks ago! Ha!! Yep you guessed it- I had a Dominos last night :rotfl:. Mmm am I trying to lose weight? lol well from my diary over the last erm forever lol you wouldn't think so!! :D

Mel2 - yay for the RSVP. Lol although I know exactly what you mean about wanting postal ones rather than verbal ones (even though I requested email ones lol)

Last night on the drive to Dominos MrD and I discussed the 4 invites sat on the side waiting to go to his work colleagues - one of who neither of us wants to invites but he felt like he should. We have agreed (hurrah) to not invite them. We are (probably) going to invite one of them (who I actually get on with) but that means three invites/places that won't be filled. At the moment I'm debating whether to use them on someone else - or (and at the moment this is the side I'm falling on) to make the most of this to reduce our numbers and have a smaller party. (At this rate all of our guests will have a seat at a table lol).

Mel1 - good luck with the Ofsted!! ((hugs)) or  depending on how it goes :)
Mmm chocolate eclairs!! Can I come to your wedding? :D
I have no idea whether your venue costs are any good - but it sounds like it for the amount of catering you are getting! :D

Laura - yaaaaaay for giving out your first invite :T I am not a mum - but I am absolutely sure that your worries are those of a normal first parent and I am positive that you will ways to overcome them!! I loved the photo of your little girl sleeping on you - she looked sooooo content (and this comes from someone who traditionally was so unbroody!)
Ha - well last night I had a dream - and you and Erin were in it! ha!! I dreamt that we were staying at my mum's old house. You had Erin and I had Bun and for some reason we were giving them both a shower!! Lol.

:jFirst invite out! As for DD . . . don't worry. She will be less dependant by 7 months. My top mummy tip - sleep with a baby sheet or a shawl for a week before the wedding and then on the day have it to hand for Erin. Wrap her in it or let her cuddle it and your scent will keep her happy to 'snuggle' with other people because mummy smell is there too.

That's not half bad at all. Infact it is very reasonable and fair of the venue to honour the quote. I know many places that wouldn't. Good luck with Ofsted

0.5lb is a loss. :j well done. I'm back on track at the moment and i am finding it easier by not denying myself anything but only eating when i am genuinely hungry. (I am an emotional eater and eat for the sake of it and boredom). so far so good.

I have had 2 enquiries from friends now for wedding details so i am going to get my day invites sent out this week so people can book their accomodation and days off work! I am going to have to buy new stamps though as with the buttons and ribbons on they are more than the 5mm depth for standard sized mail. :(

:j at giving out an invite. I dont have any kids so cant offer any advice, I think what Melanie has suggested though sounds a lovely idea with the blanket.

Natalie- well done on the 0.5lb loss, tut tut at the dominos- although that makes me not feel so bad for the McDonalds double cheeseburger I had for lunch!!:rotfl: Im spending the day with my little niece today and it was what she wanted for lunch, and I just couldnt resist! Shes having a little nap now (think she got tired out playing at a kiddies soft play place) so I thought I would come on here!

Cor what is this doing on Page 2! :rotfl:
Sorry I've been a bit quiet - it's that time of the term when things start getting hectic for me - I have no idea how I managed to get home tonight I'm that tired I reckon I was sleep-driving! :)

I came to a small conclusion yesterday. And I was actually shocked when it happened. Basically I've been doing the usual bride thing of talking to anyone who shows an interest in our wedding. I've shared pictures of the dress to the girls at work, I've shown them photos of my shoes, my jewellery and have talked about the smaller details... well I was discussing my nails yesterday and I said I am tempted to have burgundy nails - I think they'd look fab... well the look on her face!! She said something along the lines of neutral nails would go better with my dress and be classy.... and then it hit me. It is *my* wedding day (okay ours but you know what I mean)... it needs to represent who I am - not some poncy wedding magazine ideal. Soooo I have made the decision that the jewellery will definitely be worn (I've had comments about they may be too blingy!!), I *may* end up in my silver shoes just because I love them and they are most definitely me - but I do want to make sure they don't look awful with the dress... and *if* I wear my silver shoes than I am definitely having burgundy finger and toe nails!! It is the last time I'm telling people about the small details. It is my decision! :D
I was actually a little bit disappointed in myself that without my realising it I was allowing other people's views cloud my judgement, and without me knowing the whole thing was becoming more and more formal. I am most definitely not a typical girl, so why should be a typical bride!!! (Heh heh I'm now wondering what else wacky I could do!)

Natalie- I think its very important that you have little touches that are very you, otherwise you will look back and think 'oh I didnt really want that but I felt I should'! Im a bit different to you though- when I saw the look of shock on my mums face when I said what my shoes were going to be like, thats what made me decide to stick with my idea!! :D.

Im sure your fed up with my diet update- but I just wanted to say :j I lost 1.5lb this week!:D
