I felt the same after the chips Emma - not had anything that fatty for ages and I had terrible indigestion afterwards! I quite like that though - means it'll be less tempting next time!

Shame about your uncle :( but at least he might be coming to the evening.

    Fantastic weight loss Mel!

    xx

Wow - is that 5lb in one week FutureCooper? That's so impressive. 3 weeks of that and i'd fit in my dress...;)

I took MummyBoots up to Manchester to see Sting yesterday and we tried on *all* the shoes in Manchester. That's about 8 hours of shoe trying and a lot of walking! Still no wedding shoes, but almost certainly decided on Sting's Fields of Gold as the song while we sign the register. I did see two nice bridesmaid dresses too - so hopefully my bridesmaids will like them. Once i pick a colour, I can get on with so many things! The pink might be a bit pale, but there's a slightly more perky green too:

Does anyone know for order of service cards, should it be 1 per guest?

pbny24 - Yes, it's normally one per guest - left on each chair when the guests arrive.

Personally I don't think there is anything wrong with having one on every other seat. Let's face it - unless you're inviting a whole group of single people people are going to be sat next to family and therefore each 'family' will get at least one to use and keep as a memento.

Well I had a lovely weekend away! :) (Went to Amsterdam - left on Friday got back first thing this morning). There were LOADS of hen and stag dos on the ferry. Tell ya - it did make me glad that I'm not having a 'traditional' do. One group of hens had all fallen out within a couple of hours of getting on the ferry on Friday evening!! :D So that was the last time I will be using my maiden named passport :T I was thinking I *must* get some passport style photos taken as soon as I get my hair done next time. Ha while I was in Amsterdam we went on a boat tour of the canals... the captain commented twice on my fab red hair :D (And I don't think he was saying it just to get a tip cause he didn't compliment anyone else in our party :D)

So as I put above - it is now less than 4 months till our wedding. I really MUST get this eating in check! Ate so much over the weekend it's ridiculous!! I want my dress here NOW! I want to try my two pairs of shoes on to see whether my silver sandals will go and if not whether the ivory shoes will need bleaching.

So what is everyone else's next lot of jobs to do?

(Wanchai it's great to see you back and a huge well done on the teeny weeny weight gain - and Mel - WOW at your loss!)

So I have an Asda shop tomorrow - got the rest of the fizzy drinks on order (I popped in the other day to check their best before on the coke - but I couldn't be bothered to buy any cause it would have meant carrying it all - much better to get it delivered). Also got MrD some aftershave ordered - I can't believe it was cheaper at Asda than on the duty free!!
Next lot of jobs for me (including those for Easter hols - woo hoo only 2 weeks to go):
    * Book extra baggage/seats if the systems let me - there is conflicting advice on the booking (Thomas Cook) it says 3 months prior, on the website it said from the 12th but they have been updating their systems.
    * Pay remainder of hiring the chairs and tables (£89)
    * Discuss ceremony plan with MrD
    * Sort out what photos etc would like from photographer
    * Trim the hedges
    * Get registrar to sign passport document
    * Get a passport photo taken

Emma - yes I am Alice (well remembered!) and I'm very impressed that you didn't go Bridezilla on your uncle! I would've been offended unless he's given a good reason. Could you upgrade some evening guests to fill these spots (I'm planning on doing that).

Thanks for everyone's responses re photos :) I'm glad I'm not the only one not getting an album made by the photographers - doing it ourselves would just be more personal.

OH and I were going to have our trial photoshoot with one of the photographers (I've used the other one before so that's fine) this afternoon after my hair trial but she cancelled it this morning! I've been calling to confirm since Thursday, left a voicemail and everything but I was not impressed that she left it so late (when I was actually having my hair done!) to get back to me and say we need to rearrange :s To be fair to her her excuse was that her daughter was unwell so I texted her back saying no problem but the unreasonable side of me can't help but feel that she had 4 days to get back to me (knowing that I intended to have the hair done FOR the photos) and chose to do it this late.

OKay okay rant over... thank you for bearing with me!

The hair lady was so lovely and I was really happy with my hair. http://smoonbeam.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/update-sunday-18-march.html

She was so nice - when we found out together that the photoshoot was cancelled, she offered to come again for free when it's rearranged for. what a lovely offer! I always said that I'm happy for her to use the photos for her profile too so I won't feel too bad taking her on that offer!
