Well my idea of being good today hasnt gone well! I started ok with breakfast but I think not being good foodwise over the last few days hasnt been good for my stomach so Ive been feeling rubbish this morning and the thought of my soup made me feel even worst, so I opted for a small jacket spud- I know it probably isnt the best thing to eat but I really didnt fancy eating anything else! Now I just need to hope Im feeling better later so I can go to the gym to burn it off!

My flowers- well they are fab! I have dark pink gerberas (which are a perfect match to my bridesmaid dresses), large and small pink roses (which have different shades of pink in them). and each flower has a pearl and or diamante on it, and then around the outside is ivory and pink organza ribbon (I was worried about this when his mum descibed this but it looked really nice), and on the handle part I have a lovely pearl and diamante brooch!:j I wouldnt let oh see my bouquet so I didnt have time to take any pics, when its all done I will try and get some.

Natalie- glad you had a lovely time away.

Alice- oh how annoying about the photographer- but very lovely of the hairdresser, and you hair looks lovely aswell.

My next things to do are:
April
Pay dj deposit
Meet up with caterers
Get annoyed that people arent rsvp ing!!:rotfl:
Get registrars to sign my form, then I can send off for my passport
Pre book flight seats

Im sure theres a few other things but I cant think what at the mo!

OMG my dress is ready!!!

Have said I'll go look at it the Saturday after I break up - in two weeks time - cause that will give me a bit of time to shed this yucky horrid bloated feeling I have at the moment from eating too much crap.

GULP! I so need to get my act together!! HELP!

Well my evening invites are pretty much done! Im going to send out the ones that need posting tomorrow and me and oh can take work ones in tomorrow! Oh was driving me mad though, I was trying to sort out his work ones but he was finding it difficult to decide who to invite (he doesnt want to feel bad for not inviting everyone, but one we dont have the numbers and 2 why invite people you dont really like!!)

Oh I know exactly what you mean Emma!! I managed to persuade MrD to knock 5 people off our guest list just by saying do you really want them to come! In my opinion if they aren't people you'd invite round for a cup of coffee then they shouldn't be at the wedding!

Exactly. I have invited everyone in my team (except my boss who is away) and another bloke who has already said he wouldnt come, and then a couple of other people who I get on well with (ie would go out for lunch or a few drinks with).

Exciting news about your dress being ready MrsDrink!:beer: It does sound like a good motivator for a healthy fortnight ahead!

I'm a little beind the curve obviously, but I've just ordered ours tonight on Vistaprint. It felt a bit like Ryanair, with them adding all kinds of additional costs at the end, but we ended up with 60 invitations personalised with our photos + envelopes & delivery for £48 all in, so I'm happy with that. :money:
We shouldn't need to send anything like that many, but there's a bit of wiggle room for any handwriting malfunctions. In case anyone else is going to use Vistaprint, let me know and I can give you some discount codes, but it sounds like you're all way ahead of me in the invitation process!

We've upped our guest list to 70, as 5 have already informally told us they can't make it. I was umming and ahing over a couple of friends I've not seen for some time that used to be good friends. I'm glad I included them - I dropped one an email and instantly got a massive long reply; it feels like you can just pick things up with some good friends, even if you feel a bit awkward about getting in touch after a while. Hopefully the invitations will arrive by the weekend and we can get them sent with our smiler stamps.

:j:T for ordering your invites. I too had a long lost friend i was ohing over as i haven't seen her for years but we keep in touch via facebook etc. I messaged her and had a beautiful response and it just goes to show true friends will always be there no matter how long apart you have been. We are planning on meeting up for a meal before the wedding so she can meet H2B.


I have had my first RSVP card and menu choice back today :j:j:j . . . . so excited now and it feels so real now. Silly as it sounds it still hasn't truly sunk in that i am actually getting married and will be a Mrs

It's less than 4 months now....

Weddinging stuff done today (whilst I should have been typing up staff meeting minutes):

Phoned registrar on IW, need to pay them at least 3weeks before wedding, luckily can put that on the credit card, so don't need to worry about making sure money is in account for cheques. They also let me know cost of additional certificates, which will probably need for likes of changing my name.

Also booked ferry crossing to IW, booked it through the company we booked cottage with as they could do it £7 cheaper than me doing it directly, plus means we can go on what times we want

Had a look at wedding rings at the weekend in Argos, I quite like one which has a twist and diamonds in it and OH likes a satin finish one

Still waiting on costs and contacts from venue, apparently it's been really busy, we've been waiting for the costs since September last year, but I think I have a reasonable idea based on what's on the website. He reckons it'll be with us by the end of the week, if it isn't OH will be ringing again.

OH still hasn't heard from his BM about the situation with whether wife will be giving birth around our wedding, he had a bit of a groomzilla moment, I can understand as he is playing a part in the wedding, if he wasn't we wouldn't be so worried.

Guest list questions have been coming thick and fast, even though RSVPs haven't, our response is that we're saving for a Welsh dresser, so if they'd like to contribute they are more than welcome.

Off wedding, there's more housing being built near us, which will hopefully mean that we can get planning permission at some point to build the house that we want.... OH would love to build a log cabin, we have the land just need the permission... fingers crossed.
