Well i fell asleep at yoga tonight - so needed!! (I haven't been that relaxed at the end of it for nearly 2 months).0
-
woo hoo - just popped to the in-laws-to-be and was presented with a further three acceptance RSVPs0
-
Thanks Natalie - phew they haven't gone up. I could not open the page at all today and i was getting annoyed!
Welcome Sharon, you have the big stuff under control and it is nice of your MIL2B to go dress shopping with you. Sorry to hear you lost your mum though . . . you will have to let us have a sneak peek at the style of dress you are going for. We love a good photo on here!
Right I am off to find something wedding to do whilst i have the house to myself. Going to re write my evening guest list as i want to tweek some of them. Then i will have a count up and get making my evening invites. I have reprinted all the inserts with the new address on them as they will be going after we move so i need to cut them all to size. Plus it will keep my hands busy as the biscuit barrel is practically screaming my name tonight. I have the munchies0 -

I'm thinking of going for these bm dresses in baby blue just waiting on a colour and fabric sample to check that they will match my little bm's, I thought they might be able to use them afterwards

It's less than 4 months now....
Weddinging stuff done today (whilst I should have been typing up staff meeting minutes):
Phoned registrar on IW, need to pay them at least 3weeks before wedding, luckily can put that on the credit card, so don't need to worry about making sure money is in account for cheques. They also let me know cost of additional certificates, which will probably need for likes of changing my name.
Also booked ferry crossing to IW, booked it through the company we booked cottage with as they could do it £7 cheaper than me doing it directly, plus means we can go on what times we want
Had a look at wedding rings at the weekend in Argos, I quite like one which has a twist and diamonds in it and OH likes a satin finish one
Still waiting on costs and contacts from venue, apparently it's been really busy, we've been waiting for the costs since September last year, but I think I have a reasonable idea based on what's on the website. He reckons it'll be with us by the end of the week, if it isn't OH will be ringing again.
OH still hasn't heard from his BM about the situation with whether wife will be giving birth around our wedding, he had a bit of a groomzilla moment, I can understand as he is playing a part in the wedding, if he wasn't we wouldn't be so worried.
Guest list questions have been coming thick and fast, even though RSVPs haven't, our response is that we're saving for a Welsh dresser, so if they'd like to contribute they are more than welcome.
Off wedding, there's more housing being built near us, which will hopefully mean that we can get planning permission at some point to build the house that we want.... OH would love to build a log cabin, we have the land just need the permission... fingers crossed.
Oh I missed this yesterday. A log cabin sounds so amazing, fingers definately crossed you can get the building permission. When we werent sure if our best man was going to be at our wedding we just told him we needed a decision by 29th Feb, and if he still didnt know then we would have no choice but to asks ohs really good friend to be best man instead. When it got the 29th his best man (ohs brother) still didnt know so we made the decision to ask the really good friend instead. We still dont know if ohs brother will make it, but it isnt looking likely, but at least we have been able to start sorting things like suits.
Well Im going to start boring you all with my food diary again as Ive been rubbish this week and have had my first maintain!
Sharon- I love your dress. And I love the bridesmaid dresses aswell.
Im glad Im not the only one who goes to bed early instead of snacking!!0 -
Ooooh i love the dresses Sharon. I am jealous of your lovely planned day of Florist and dress shopping. I am stuck in the office up to my armpits in summer exam stuff and watching the sunshine outside.
I was angelic last night and fought the munchies with a 40kcal hot choc and 1 rich tea biscuit which i sucked to death. I had the TV remote all to myself last night and was heaven.
I have brought my evening invites into work today to use the guillotine for a clean, sharp edge then i can glue and stick the card together with buttons.0 -
Well today I have completed the PD2 form for changing my passport
Got it in an envelope all ready to take to the post office tomorrow. (I emailed the central registry email address asking whether I needed an appointment to get it signed and they sent me (kindly) a copy of the ceremony document that we got when we gave notice!! - Gee thanks!)
Hopefully will get it back by 16th April - I'm going to post my passport application then0 -
Natalie- are you sure they will sign the passport form before 16th April? I must remember to ring my local registry office actually and find out what I need to do, Im not sure if you take the form in and then pick it up a few days later or what!
Im trying to decide what type of side bun to have done at my hair trial. I cant wait to have my trial. Its a sign to me that the wedding is getting much closer!:D0 -
Oh now you've said that I don't know - will go and investigate.0
-
Looking on PD1 - the info leaflet - it just says you may apply for a passport up to 3 months before the wedding. It doesn't say anything about when they will sign the PD2 form. My thinking was get it signed sooner rather than later, and then sending my application off a day before the three months so it lands in their lap at the earliest possible time.
Well since getting the email on Monday to say my dress was ready I have been an absolute angel food wise. I'm being super strict with myself at the moment - no little snacks at all. Being really tight for two weeks (well till a week on Saturday) and then I'll start eating my more normal diet food (like having my yoghurt and hotel chocolat chocs).0
