Hi everyone!

flying visit from me because I am absolutely exhausted But I have lost another 3lbs taking me up to 17lbs lost

Hooray about the passports - personally I am with Mel, there's no way I'm paying out extra cash for a new passport when I have till 2015 to run on mine, they are money grabbing enough as it is without paying for it when I don't have to!

I have just paid the honeymoon off though - 7 nights in Portugal, done - gotta go tell OH now haha it was a spur of the moment thing to pay it off, was meant to wait till next month! :rotfl:
Babyboots, if you want proper MSE (i.e. cheapskate) try jet2 holidays lol - that's where I got our honeymoon! If you want posh but cost effective I'm no use lol.

Oh and I've had all the RSVP's from my side of the family, but none from OH's - which are the ones we are actually waiting for because there are so many of them! Grrr!

My auntie and uncle sent me their RSVP as a little card thing, which is lovely but now I don't know what to do with it! I've wrote down that they are coming on the spreadsheet but I feel a bit guilty throwing the card away because they must have spent money on it lol!

Hi all

I still haven't caught up on all the posts! Am off for a little read now.

I STS this week - was a bit disappointed but the St Patrick's celebrations did involve a little drinking so I can't complain. Really hoping for 1lb a week loss from now on though! I have been so good all week!!!

Invitations still not done but will be ready soon, really can't wait to send them

Sorry I've been a bit quiet - it's that time of the term when things start getting hectic for me - I have no idea how I managed to get home tonight I'm that tired I reckon I was sleep-driving!

I came to a small conclusion yesterday. And I was actually shocked when it happened. Basically I've been doing the usual bride thing of talking to anyone who shows an interest in our wedding. I've shared pictures of the dress to the girls at work, I've shown them photos of my shoes, my jewellery and have talked about the smaller details... well I was discussing my nails yesterday and I said I am tempted to have burgundy nails - I think they'd look fab... well the look on her face!! She said something along the lines of neutral nails would go better with my dress and be classy.... and then it hit me. It is *my* wedding day (okay ours but you know what I mean)... it needs to represent who I am - not some poncy wedding magazine ideal. Soooo I have made the decision that the jewellery will definitely be worn (I've had comments about they may be too blingy!!), I *may* end up in my silver shoes just because I love them and they are most definitely me - but I do want to make sure they don't look awful with the dress... and *if* I wear my silver shoes than I am definitely having burgundy finger and toe nails!! It is the last time I'm telling people about the small details. It is my decision!
I was actually a little bit disappointed in myself that without my realising it I was allowing other people's views cloud my judgement, and without me knowing the whole thing was becoming more and more formal. I am most definitely not a typical girl, so why should be a typical bride!!! (Heh heh I'm now wondering what else wacky I could do!)

I've spent lunchtimes this week trawling shoe shops, I've been to Debs, Office, HOF, Dune, you name it. And then I went to Next - wow!!!!! What a BRILLIANT range of wedding shoes they have! Cheap and comfy! I'm trying to decide between these and might actually buy the high ones for day and the lower ones for dancing:

Quickie - I really should be getting ready for work (not that I'm in any fit state to go really). But I had a dream last night that I went to see my dress and it wasn't my dress - for starters it had straps, and it had a black belt thing on.... I didn't like it but didn't dare say anything to the shop! Ha!! It's funny really because if you asked me yesterday whether I was having any dress wobbles I'd have said nope - I know my dress is the one and I cannot wait to see it again. I haven't had any anxiety by not seeing it for 8 months. But perhaps my dream says differently.

Wanchai - I like the first Next ones best - the lace looks like it would go well with your vintage dress. I might have to look in Next today!

I'm hoping for a big weekend of getting wedding things done. The invitations are at the post office for me to pick up, our photo stamps arrived and I've printed the useful info inserts.

My bridesmaid has flown in for the weekend and we're going bridesmaid dress shopping today, only I was working so hard yesterday without a break that I forgot to book an appointment at the bridal shop, so I hope they can fit us in. I've also forgotten if I had a haircut booked this afternoon... waiting for a reasonable time to ring everyone and confirm! On the plus side, all the hard work of the last few months means the training course I've developed has gone to print, and once I've been to oversee the pilot course next week, I should be able to kick back for some Easter R&R (and exercise!).

Hi all.

Honeymoon- we're going to devon. And if Erinna starts taking a bottle again then my mum will come collect her so me and OH will have a couple if days on our own. But we have said if she still isnt taking a bottle ir i feel like i cant be away from her then next year we will go for a weekend away.

Havnt done much planning but now DD is sleeping in her basket in the day and getting OH to look after her while i do a few things.

As you all love me so so much and understand i havnt got much time. Cheapest place for favour bags.

What centrepieces are people having?
