Wanchai - I like the first Next ones best - the lace looks like it would go well with your vintage dress. I might have to look in Next today!
May be worth holding off looking in Next till Saturday as they have a sale on I found these shoes yesterday which I really like, my young bridesmaids have butterflies on their dresses so they tie in nicely

a bargain at only £28 but the shop assistant said not to buy them as they may be in the sale so I'm going to wait till that's over might save myself a couple of pennies :rotfl:
Wishing you all a happy Friday0 -
Where is everyone going on their honeymoons? We're looking online, but not finding anything very MSE!
We are going to Sorrento, Italy the day after the wedding. Not MSE at all and we are staying in a junior suite so its extra special. We decided to keep costs down by staying in europe but splashed the cash on our Hotel.
I can highly recommend Antigua for a Caribbean honeymoon. We went for our engagement last May. It was breath takingly beautiful. It is hurricane season during our summer though and it when it rains, it rains. Perhaps you could stay local for a mini-moon then have your dream holiday during the right season. There is no rule that says you have to go straight from your reception!!0 -
Does anybody know what type of material shoes have to be made from to dye them?? I would like to dye my wedding shoes after the occassion but it doesn't readable dyeable on the tag.
ooooh a Next sale tomorrow. I still need a clutch bag so i thats an excuse to go in tomorrow!0 -
My auntie and uncle sent me their RSVP as a little card thing, which is lovely but now I don't know what to do with it! I've wrote down that they are coming on the spreadsheet but I feel a bit guilty throwing the card away because they must have spent money on it lol!
xx
We're putting our rsvps in an album with our engagement cards, which will also hold our wedding cards.0 -
Oh crikey. We haven't even talked honeymoon yet. I don't even know if we're having one.I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.0

Mel2 - unfortunately it's not as easy as saying what material because it would depend if your shoes have undergone any sort of finishing on them or whether they are natural. Rainbow club dyeable shoes tend to be satin from what I've seen, but I know if I get mine bleached I can't then get them dyed. But if you aren't too bothered you could always risk it anyway.
Laura - I'm just having three basic white pillar candles with burgundy ribbon wrapped around as our centre pieces - very plain and simple just because we weren't even going to be having tables!!
Can't help with the little favour bags - but my guess would be ebay.
Okay so I've had an email from the bridal shop to say they've checked their diary (they were shut yesterday so couldn't check) and they are all full on the 31st so could I go on the 7th instead -I could have said well I'm on Easter Hols from the 31st so any time in that week would be fine - but this way it gives me an extra week to lose as much bloatedness as I can.

We're having our honeymoon on the Isle of Wight, staying in the same cottage for two weeks, so before and after wedding.
Home alone this weekend, H2B of to do wild camp training on Dartmoor.
Pimms for me if it's this nice tomorrow.0 -
Wanchai- I really like the first next shoes- I know you wont fully see them but I do think though if the lace is very different to your dress it could look a bit mis-matched. I agree that there are some lovely shoes in Next, Ill have a look online tomorrow to see if any happen to go in the sale- I got my older bridesmaid her shoes in the Next sale and they were a bargain at £14. I would probably say your better off ordering them online rather than getting them instore as they are less likely to have marks on them.
LauraL- I am having tall lily vases with 3 roses and some long grass, and it will be wrapped in ribbon to hide the stems. Ill have a look for favour bags for you in a bit.
We really wanted to go somewhere like CUba or Mexico but I wasnt going to risk the weather and the travel agent advised we stick within Europe, so after having a good research we opted for Turkey, but we didnt go as mse as we could have done, ie we decided as its our honeymoon to go 5* and ai, and we have also upgraded to a superior room, oh and one other reason we went for this hotel was its for adults only so no hectic hyper kids!!:rotfl:
Mel- well done on the 3lb this week.0 -

Sorry
I'm here - just poorly! On Thursday came down with what I assumed was a cold but was poorly sick Thursday night, this morning I'm still full of snot, but it seems to be thickening which I assume is a good sign although it makes breathing at night rather difficult!
Wedding wise...
We now have RSVPs for 17 yeses, 1 of those probably only for an hour, and 3 nos. Just waiting for 30 more.
After being super good and getting back around 10st2 (target is 9st8 for the wedding), we had a Dominos last night after a rubbish day yesterday.
Today I'm doing housework - it is a state!! Because I went to Amsterdam last weekend nothing got done and it's become a bit of a dumping ground again so MrD and I will be doing a blitz.
I also plan on writing cheques for the remainder of the bills for the tables and chairs which I can post out on Thursday.
