pbny24 - yes, it is a Christina. When I picked it I was torn between two too. The Christina looked lovely from the front, but because it was too small, not so good from behind. The Emily was great all round, but the straight line bust was not as flattering as the Christina sweetheart neckline. They were samples, so completely different colours and styles. I'm pleased with my choice, but wish they'd had a bigger size!

ghostlove - hello and welcome to the July crew. We're getting married on the same day:beer:
MrsD - well done on the good restaurant choices. I have been weighing and measuring myself weekly for two months and was hoping to be 10st 5 by next week, and i'm still at 10st 10 (was hoping for 9st 9 by the wedding). I've only lost 2lb in two months, but I have lost 4.75lb of fat and a few cm from my upper waist (belly button and above). Belly button down to hips has not budged much! Not much time for the gym over the next few weeks, but will try and squeeze some activity in where I can and eat better. Have a friend here for the weekend, so I'm going to do a few hours of calorie-burning cleaning now!

Hope you get your shoes soon BabyBoots :) It'll be a relief when you've got them especially as it means you'll be able to get your dress sorted.

Welcome Ghostlove :) Your ceremony sounds brilliant :)

Well done for being good Natalie! Now keep it going! I have just had my hair done at the hairdressers and she's blow dried it beautifully, but I have nowhere to go to show it off!

My weigh in this morning shows that I have OFFICIALLY lost a stone now since Christmas :j:beer::T and I'm sooo in the mood to go clothes shopping :D but alas the budget says no :( I could go into town to Primark or somewhere I guess but it'll be packed at this time on a Saturday.

I do need to go soon though because I'm having to safety pin my work trousers together to keep them up at the moment... :rotfl::o My only worry is that I don't want to not fit into my dress - I don't want the bodice to be baggy if I lose too much off my boobs. Hopefully it can be taken in, I might have to try it on today while OH is out and see what it's looking like at the minute. The dilemma is that while I'm on a roll, I don't want to stop losing weight just to fit into a dress! This might be the year I dare to wear a bikini on holiday lol

Oh that is BRILLIANT news Mel!! Congratulations!!

I would try the dress on if it was me - ha but what do I know - I haven't got my dress yet!! (Grr). Do you have an alterations lady all lined up yet? Has she seen the dress? Could she tell you how easy it'll be to take your bodice in? Then you can make an informed decision on whether to carry on trying to lose weight or to try to maintain what you've done brilliantly at losing?

Haha thanks... hoping i can keep it up!
Regarding alterations, it'd probably be my nan! As she used to be a dressmaker. Or she can at least say whether it can be done or not so we know to get someone else to do it. In my (admittedly clueless) opinion, I reckon it'll be easy enough to take in as it's only a high street dress and there seems to be some scope for movement around the seams. I might give it a try later.

I've decided to go and have a little stroll round the shops at the retail park so I don't have to pay for parking - there's an Asda there so there's always George :P

:D hope you have managed to get rid of the money burning in your pocket!! :D

Well I have finally finished my work for today - so now I'm going to chill watch some TV, read some of my books, just generally slob until MrD gets home. I might even have a nap :rotfl: Will do housework tomorrow I think :)

Well done on losing a stone mel, your doing a fab job. I know the feeling about work trousers being too big, mine are getting so loose now i cant go without a belt, and cant afford any new ones till payday!! I did find a pair in my drawer that were too small a few months ago, like couldnt even nearly get them done up, but didnt have any other clean trousers yesterday, and didnt want to wear a dress, so tried them on and was chuffed that they fitted, they havent fitted for over a year!! I think u should try your dress on and then ask your nan how much it can be taken in and then decide from there how much you want to lose, your doing so well though.

Ive been good in that ive been to the gym today, just had a naughty lunch though!!

Hows everyones saturday? I should be wrining names and addresses on evening invites but want a nap instead.

Im on my phone at the mo and cant rememver what ive missed but ill be back later and will have a proper read. Oh and well done natalie for being good foodwise.

What a great thread to find! Add me to the list please - fiance and I are tying the knot on the 22nd of July this year. We're doing a little legal ceremony at a register office, then a handfasting ceremony at a local country park followed by a great big barbecue there (£70 to hire a 100-person BBQ hearth! Cheapest reception venue ever?). :D

Welcome . . . and what a fab way to get married. I would love to go a handfasting ceremony.

:j:j well done! You must and should be very proud of yourself. GO shopping! George at Asda have some fab new spring stuff in at the moment and some great bikini's.

My day invites have been sealed and stamped so I am just waiting for H2B to come home from work so we can post them out together. Probably be tomorrow though although i have this ridiculous fear that if i put them in a letter box instead of handing them over the counter some little git might vandalise the box and ruin my invites!! I over think and really need to get out more! :rotfl:

:) ha no idea!! I don't see why they wouldn't be. You could always test it - send yourself an empty envelope using the gold pen and see if you receive it. :)

Well I've had a very lazy day - caught up on my programmes - made good headway into a new book. :) But alas done nothing weddingy.
