    SNAP!!

:) We're off to Grimsby soon - MrD wants a 'parts washer' for his man cave. Then we'll go off to Tescos - buy a birthday card, food for lunch (bacon rolls or 'special' croissants), and food for tea (toad in the hole). Then come home and tidy the house up ready for MrD's parents to visit. (Want to show his mum my shoes). Will have to do a little bit of school work ready for tomorrow but other than that... just sitting around and making the most of my final relaxing day before the storm starts again tomorrow (only 6 weeks till it's Easter :T)
  • today my oh is going suit shopping, which I am quite worried about as have no idea what he will get. I have given him ideas of the colours so that they match me and the bridesmaids. I have also contacted my brother who he is helping him to advise him of the colour scheme. I don't want him thinking that he can't have what he wants but explained to him about the colours of the dresses and what will match and what wont. He can choose the style of suits and waistcoats as long as right colours. Do I sound harsh x

Not at all :D I gave MrD's mum strict instructions that he wasn't allowed a white, blue, or brown suit :rotfl:, and I gave her a couple of petals from one of my burgundy flowers so she (he) could get a tie to match. :) I'm sure he'll do good though Tracey :)

I have had two phone calls off him already after only 45 minutes there. He was concerned as black suits made them look like they were going to a funeral. I advised him it had to be a dark suit, not specifically black. He thinks they are going with a charcoal grey. That will go with black&white bridesmaid dress and my wedding dress which is Ivory/Claret right?

I am also running out of wedding things to do, nothing can be really done until April now. Prob a good thing though with my uni work and baby, but really want something to do xx

I think charcoal grey will look nice Tracey, I much prefer it to black as a wedding colour. It'll look great with ivory and claret!

I still need to make a definitive list - I can see it now being the morning of the wedding and here's me going "oh !!!! I forgot to buy a bra!"

Most things are pretty sorted I think, I still need to sit down and figure out the guest list with OH, and then write the invites. Should really get this done this week as we are seeing some friends next week which will save on stamps :D

Re: cake - we are probably going to go for an M&S cake - we'll buy it nearer then time as we'll have a better idea of how much we need, but I'm sure last year they were on 3for2? Does anyone know if this is a regular thing?

    Still to sort:
    For me
    *Underwear
*Jewellery (maybe) I have a necklace/earrings that I wore when I first got my dress that looked really nice with it, but it's only from George at Asda :rotfl: tempted to get something a bit 'better' but don't wanna spend the money and also it means having to put my dress on to test it out which is a faff.
*Tights - is anyone going to wear tights/hold ups? I dunno? Might get some of those M&S cooling ones that make your legs feel cold.

    For OH
*Present - dunno whether to get him anything really. After all, he does get me! And I've bought him a wedding ring (well it was free with tesco points). Socks maybe :p
*Suits are chosen just need paying for, he is sorting fittings etc.
*Somewhere to stay with his dad and brother the night before. Probably quite important this. Waiting on him to find out what his dads doing.

    General
*Guest List - need to sit and finalise.
*Invite-bloody-ations. When PITA task above is done. (why do SOME PEOPLE have to have huge families that means you don't have enough room for friends?
*Favours - not sure if bothering as I don't think I'll have set places at the tables, being as it's a buffet type thing. Can't be doing with seating plans.
*Centrepieces - all sorted with Dad but just need to know how many tables there will be.

Can't be arsed to think of anything else as I'm not in the mood lol!

That post was so totally rambly lol sorry!

    xx

Quickie - am supposed to be cleaning the kitchen - I agree with Mel, Tracey, I prefer charcoal grey for a wedding suit and will definitely go with your colours :)
