I like that Nat, it'll go really well with the detail on your dress.

Thanks Emma - would it be really bad of me to do my usual trick of getting both and just returning the other ones lol... dunno if you can do that with pierced earrings though. Mind you it let me send knickers back... (I DIDN'T try them on!)

It is getting close now - I logged into the honeymoon payment account thing earlier to check baggage allowances and it say at the top 'It is 155 days untill your holiday' which means is is 152 days till I get married lol!

    Not long at all!

    xx

Sorry when you posted this and when I was posting about my jewellery MrD's parents were round so I couldn't post much.
I actually prefer the second pair I think :)

    Unfortunately:
For reasons of health and hygiene we are unable to exchange or refund the following products:
Pierced earrings and other pierced body jewellery unless faulty.
Underwear/lingerie, control wear, hosiery and swimwear unless the hygiene strips and tags are still in place.

I think that amount of money seems like a fair amount to have both on you and in your bank account. I think if you were to imagine eating out for breakfast, lunch, and teas you'd spend (hopefully!) no more than £100 a day. I think we average out around £500 worth during a self catering 7 day holiday. But I've not been to portugal so I don't know what it's like compared to greek islands for costs. The last trip we did - to Tenerife we gave ourself a budget each day which helped (we wanted to save some of our cash to pay for a dive ha). We had breakfast cereals in the room (I have some plastic bowls and beakers we take with us), and we stuck to cheaper chicken dishes and then splurged on the last night and had steak. :) Dunno if that helps or not!! The other thing I can recommend is instead of taking cash over with you, to get a euro cash card - kinda like a prepaid mastercard where you top it up and then use ATM machines to withdraw the cash. We have had one for the last few years and it's good to know if it was stolen I could phone up and cancel it immediately. We have a TravelEx one.

Thanks I might look into getting one of those. We have an all you can eat buffet breakfast in our package (and all the reviews I can find are pretty positive!) So I'm hoping that it will be a case of big breakfasts, very light (and cheap) lunches, then try out some of the restaurants in the marina. So hopefully £100 a day will be about right to budget for.

The second pair is growing on me because my dress has diamante and pearl bits on it so think it would tie in nicely, it depends on the drop of the earring though. Will have to find an excuse for a trip to Debenhams to have a look! What a shame...

Oh in that case £100 a day *should* be plenty :) with enough left over for a souvenir or two :)

Well we are super lucky - MrD's parents have asked whether they could pay for our diving. (They did say the flights but we've already got them sorted - plus they were part of the package anyway). :D So lovely of them. This means the money we had earmarked for that can be spend on getting the house ready for the party (ha!! we need to: *Plaster the dinning room, stairs, landing, *Decorate said rooms - finish the skirting boards, put up coving, and paint, *Finish the downstairs toilet - buy toilet sink and furnishings, MrD to fit it all, tile and paint. *Tidy up the kitchen - am going to paint the tiles just to clean them up a bit. Ha!! That will give me things to do between now and the wedding! *Sort out the garden - get a skip and dump all the junk, get a mini digger and dig up the hedge/tree stumps, get top soil and fill in the holes created by the mini digger, pave down the side of the pond. Aaaaah easy peasy!! :D
