Training Run 8: Today's was just a short one 3.21K (2m). Because it was a short one we decided to go for a faster pace - I agreed that I'd try to keep between 5 and 6 mins a k apart from when we ran up Keddington Hill and then I'd aim for between 6 and 7 mins a k. Anyway the wind out there is bloody horrid to run against (according to Accuweather we can be experiencing up to 87km/h wind gusts). BUT despite that I still managed to do what we set out to do :) Managed to do it in 19m 17 secs :)
    Now for my lunch!!

Weddingy stuff: I am in the middle of going over all my tealights jars with tissue paper again - will see if the PVA glue seeps through it and makes it see-through again, if it does I'll wait till a few days before the wedding and apply another layer (I didn't put any more glue on - just used the stickiness of last time I did it to hold the paper on). :D

Emma - I agree with Melanie - I would get another seamstress. I can't stand people (companies) who don't respond to emails - even if it's to say they are too busy to reply and will get back in touch.

Melanie - definitely rest your achilles!! In fact I think you should sit with it up on the sofa all day and get waited on hands and foot.
  • Melanie and Natalie- I am going to find a new seamstress. I did wonder at first whether she was ignoring my emails as she had probably got some of the spam ones sent out, but because these dont have titles I cant believe she would keep ignoring them. I will ask around I think and go on recommendations.

Oh Melanie, that does sound so painful. Keep resting.

Well done on the run today Natalie.

Ive made some homemade soup- lets home I dont end up wearing it!! :D
  • Hi everyone :D sorry I haven't been around much, I have just been trying to get back into work routines :( I think i need to really try and organise how I am going to spend my time (and give up tv, lol) to get this wedding planned properly...
  • July bride- how is your planning going? I saw your carboot bargains- well done, they sound fab, and very mse.

Tasha - if it's any consolation I was thinking the same earlier too and I'm super-duper organised. I think it's very normal to have panicky thoughts about fitting it all in. I just keep telling myself at the end of the day as long as we are married then the rest will pale into insignificance. I am trying to do as much as I can do now though so it's not all left to the last minute :) Just incase something pops up unexpected that takes more of my time. The next thing on my list of things to do is to take MrD to a jewellers next Saturday lunchtime and get him measured and get him to make a decision about what he wants. Then when I've been paid (a week on Tuesday) I can order it - hurrah!

I'm sat watching some Don't Tell The Bride on iPlayer :)

(I tried on my ring again today - I cannot wait till it's sat on my finger permanently!!)

Series 1 episode 5 - Vu and Naomi - castle wedding (he drove from Leicester to Dover to look at a venue lol).

:( That is sad about your eternity ring. But just think - when you have a daughter ( :) ha no pressure) then you can give it to her to wear :)
  • Oh I dont reckon Ive seen that one, I didnt watch many of the first series I dont think. Is it a good one?

I hadnt thought of that, I may well do that. ALthough oh is adament if we have a baby he wants a boy, and im adament I would want a girl!! (although we both know full well as long as we are lucky enough to be able to have a baby we would be extremley happy with either)

Well if you have a boy you could always give your eternity ring to him to give to his girlf :)

The DTTB episode is the one where he designs her dress with a dress maker.
