Thank you. I had a look on very and isme but they didn't have any in the right pink. I thought dusky rose/pink would be fairly popular but seems not. Will def try some local dressmakers thanks. The girls have tried on some and has to be full length but other than that they're not too fussed.Weight loss 2015: -4lbs January (thanks flu):wall:
Debt: 68/10 000

Hello girls,
jellybean - I was looking for either rose pink or Cadbury purple bridesmaid dresses today online at Debenhams, Coast and Monsoon, but I didn't really see anything. You're right there wasn't much rose pink to be seen. It's tricky choosing a colour scheme...
I could do with shifting a few pounds to get into this dress of mine, but I've never dieted before. I think I'm going to try and do more exercise and just eat healthily.
Pearly - I guess the style i'm thinking of is quite a classic English country garden style. If it's sunny the wedding will be on the green by the river, and the dress is quite classic, so I thought pink roses might be good - with pink bridesmaids perhaps. My fiance is adamant he's not wearing pink, so I think he's trying to steer me to purple!
Tracey - where do you get personalised love hearts from? They sound great.0 -
Babyboots (do you have a real name?)- I think if your going for English country garden then a rose pink would look fab, would be the perfect colour. Just not sure where you could try- Im trying to think where ive seen dusky/ rose pink dresses. If I can think of anywhere Ill let you know.0

Good morning everyone! Well I spent last night either watching trashy TV or sleeping!! When MrD came home we snuggled on the sofa and I fell asleep for about an hour! Then we watched some TV, then had an indian take away then went to bed!!
But it was much needed. Feeling a lot more awake and alert this morning (well apart from the food-hangover from eating too much crap for 5 days).
Jobs for today:
* Housework - tidy, dust, clean, hoover the whole house (MrD works on a Saturday so this is my way of making it fair).
* Clothes washing - last weekend we didn't have any heating so I couldn't put clothes on the radiators to dry - so I've got a fortnight of washing to do.
* Finish writing a report for work. (Hopefully this will be finished for Monday/Tuesday!)
Wedding wise? Well we've agreed I'll meet MrD next weekend to go look at wedding rings.
The next stuff for us to do: (After January's pay)
Pay £250 off honeymoon
Buy MrD's flight to Finland (for his annual snow mobiling trip)
Order MrD's ring
Organise Hen do restaurant
Finalise Guest List
Finish printing off addresses for envelopes
Post invites 9Yaaaaaaaaaay)
Decide where my family are to go on the day of the wedding - Speak to MrD's mum about looking after them before the ceremony
email maps & directions to my family
Organise Stag do (I *think* his trip to Finland will be his stag do).0 -

Job update: Two rooms down, 3 to go (I'm only doing the rooms we actually use - not including my office). Two washing loads done - one in as I type, one on the radiators drying (and some towels in the tumble dryer) - erm probably 3 more to do.
*Update*
Nearly finished housework - just got to hoover our bedroom then tackle the bathroom.
Washing - got two more loads to do after this one. How come just the two of us manage to make so much mess?!
Have read through report and made some adjustments - think it should be finished by the end of tomorrow - which is a relief.0 -
God I'm so bored! Have been a good girl food wise all day - am now waiting for MrD to get home to take me running - not looking forward to it - we haven't done any running for a week, and in that week I've bloated up so much on carbs!! :S It's going to be painful!
(Melanie - you are doing so much better than me with your running!!)
How is everyone else doing? Any wedding news to share?0 -
MrsDrink - I've had a day of housework too - exciting stuff. Good luck with your wedding to do list. My fiance is at work too, so I've been trying to work through the weekly MSE flylady list - I ignore the day allocations and try to do the whole week's worth on Friday/Saturday.
We're off to see a photographer tomorrow, so fingers crossed for that. I've rung a few chair cover suppliers today, but no joy yet. I think the chair covers and ribbons will be the main thing that makes the room look weddingy for the meal. I've not got as far as thinking about flowers or other decorations yet. 6 months from tomorrow!0 -

The thing I most want to get sorted is the bridesmaid dresses. Any advice on this? I am torn between the online stores and buying from my dress shop. Seem to be a lot of good and bad reviews for the online ones but the shop will be at least 200 each although hopefully with a discount. I was surprised that even the debenhams, coast, monsoon etc ones were £170 plus! What are you all doing?

Welcome back!!! My BM dress came from Debenhams. Their debut range start from about £70 for a full length dress. I got a purple one for £97.00 they should be getting their 2012 wedding stock in time now, the assistant told me it starts around February time for new design dresses and shoes.Hello girls,

How about the english rose look for you and maybe a lilac colour to mix in. Then maybe your OH could wear a lilac shirt?God I'm so bored! I am not doing great i'm afraid i really struggled today. Went out with H2B first thing this morning (at which he was shocked and stunned that i got up for exercise :rotfl:) and about 10 minutes in i pulled my achilles. Ow it hurts. So i hobbled home and have worn flat boots today to rest it. Going up and down the stairs is a killer thou.
I'm having to do boring housework as an agent is coming round to the photograph the landlords house to market it. I'm tempted to say i'm not happy for photos to go on Rightmove of our belongings in his house, but i know its childish!! Rang up for 2 houses this week but both had gone. So there is nothing in our area at the moment so we have sit tight and keep looking out.
Nothing weddingy done other than decided we wont delay sending the invites out. We will use this current address as the RSVP and we will have our mail redirected as a matter of course anyway.0 -
Oh how exciting!!
(6 months tomorrow). People keep telling me the next 6 months will fly by! (Part of me is glad - part of me is scared lol).
Ooo hope the meeting with the photographer goes well tomorrowIf I was having a formal reception (rather than just a house/garden party) I would so want chair covers and sashes.

Hi Babyboots - i can recommend a chair cover and sash company. They are based in Lincs but they have a courier postal service. They post, you set up! 75p per chair. I'm happy to PM you their facebook details. Fingers crossed for the photographer!0
