Hey everyone.
Natalie- hope the run went ok
Melanie- ouch, sounds painful, make sure you rest loads and hopefully it will be better soon. Fingers crossed a house will come up soon.
Babyboots- good luck with the photographer tomorrow. I do think chair covers really finish a room off, but I am only having them as I found such a good deal (£1 per chair and sash including set up) and I only need 45, Im not sure I could have persuaded oh if they were about £3 each.
Im having a lazy day today! We have been shopping and I decided (as we got a massive sack of spuds) that im going to make some more soup- hopefully I wont end up wearing it this time!!:p0 -
Ouch Melanie, that pulled achilles sounds painful! Hope it gets better soon.
Hope you have gone on ok with the running Natalie! You were doing really well before.
Hope you find some decent chair covers BabyBoots - I'm not a fan personally, but then I'm not into flouncy things! Mind you if you have kids at the wedding they can provide hours of fun - a gang of little girls at the last wedding I went to had been round and untied almost every bow and tucked them into their clothes so they had long flowing pretend dress type things and they were running round playing brides lol. At least they found something to do lol I expect weddings are so boring for kids that age!
Jellybean, could you have a look around the debenhams sale? I saw my BM's dress in there reduced to £25, () and they had it in a couple of sizes too - you might get lucky with the colour?
Oh talking of debenhams, my order arrived and I have picked my shoes - there was only one option really because the others were the wrong colour or didn't fit properly! I've booked the courier to send the rest back. I did order a load of underwear too but it wasn't quite right - the search continues!

Which shoes were the right ones Mel?
Are you still struggling to find a bra to go with your dress? Have you thought about seeing if a dress maker could sew something in for you?
Talking of dressmakers I emailed mine at the start of jan and heard nothing, so emailed her at the start of this week and still havent heard back so I think im going to find someone else to alter it for me.0 -
Hi all
me again!
I have been trying my best to keep up but you all talk so much!!:rotfl:
6 months to go:j:j:j:j
My wedding invites will be made by late feb/early march.
Next thing i want to do is wedding rings. How long normally from a jewellers do they take to make?0 -
I went for these ones, they are the perfect height to go with the length of the dress, width to go with my duck feet, and colour! I would have liked something a little more colourful but I tried some of the shoes I have already just to get an idea and it just looks a little bit weird with the long dress? But these look just right, you would almost think they were made of the same fabric the colour is that close.
Well I have found a couple of options for undies that will work (i.e. low back) but the ones I ordered were the wrong size. I think basque type bras must be made larger than normal ones because I ordered the three sizes around my usual and the cups were huge! Yet an everyday bra that I ordered in my normal size fitted fine!
I don't blame you for trying elsewhere - do you have a phone number for her? Seems a bit off if she's not responding to emails - bit unreliable.Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
Hi Laura hope things are going well!
We ordered OH's ring from Goldsmiths and we had to wait about 2/3 weeks for it to arrive

Training run 7:
Wow - a week off running and 5 days of eating so many carbs and so few veggies and it really shows in how hard it was tonight. Mentally it was just so tough to keep placing one leg in front of the other!! Anyway despite that (and the cold) we actually managed the 6.43k (4miles) in 40mins 20secs which is pretty much our usual pace so I'm feeling really smug with that. I felt soo slow running round so I was amazed to read that when I got in! Now for a sensible tea.0 -
LauraL- I guess it would depend on the size you require. My size was instore so I was able to take it away that day (Goldsmiths).
I cant wait to wear my new ring!!:D
Well done on the run Natalie.
Mel- those shoes are lovely. I have coloured shoes and was a bit worried they may look odd or out of place, but when I tried them on they looked perfect with my dress. I guess it depends on the style of the dress. I think because mine is so plain the colour really stands out and looks fab.:D
I dont have a contact number for her, I could probably try and find the website I found her on, but think it would be easier just to find someone new.0 -
Hello
Im just back from the gym- managed to drag myself there rather than a local wedding fayre!:rotfl: Im feeling more positive at the mo about getting fit and losing weight- hopefully this positivity can remain for a few more months!!
Hows is everyone? anyone doing anything wedding related or exciting today? Im not!!:(0 -

I would take that as rude not to even acknowledge your email, even to say shes really busy and will contact you at a later date. I would at least look around for another seamstress. However, perhaps, her email is down. Its not a guarantee she hasnt had to change her email address or something. Perhaps if you call her you could tell by her response when you say you've econtacted her twice! Worth a shot!I went for these ones, they are the perfect height to go with the length of the dress, width to go with my duck feet, and colour! Love those shoes. Simple and elegant. Pretty coloured shoes wont fit every dress style and i like to think of my dress taking centre stage not my shoes on this occasion.Training run 7:

Well done Natalie. Just getting out there and doing it is hard in itself especially when its a cold, wet and dark winter. My achilles really hurts todayi can just about get up the stairs but coming down is one foot at a time like an old lady. I think its going to stop me running this week. So i'm trying to rest it today.
Might have a play with my invites later as i want to get them done whilst i have a weekend thats not all about packing boxes to move!
Happy Sunday everyone x0
