Melanie- what a pain about your LL selling. How is the house market in your area? I had a friend in a rented house and the LL was selling so they moved out, 18 months later and the house is still on the market!
Date wars- :rotfl: I do think 28th is the best date though!!
Alice- loving the colours.
Do table number signs have to be big? I was thinking that as our centrepieces are tall and my table name holders are quite small that I would use some of my a6 invites, because that will make them low and therefore not competing against the centrepieces- do you think this would be ok?0 -
nothing really to report. I did buy a car today. My partner has been really worried about me struggling with the baby in a three door car. Did a part exchange with my old car for a 5 door Citroen Xsara and had to pay £800. Pick it up on Saturday. xx0

I think that would be fine. They don't have to be big IMHO!
Tracey - what colour is the new car?

I think as long as you number them in a sensible order e.g. 1 on the left, moving across the room, or zig zagging etc, so people will be able to count them physically when they are trying to find their table I don't see that you'd need big ones. I don't think you need to have numbers so big that people can see them from wherever you're putting the table plan - cause they would have to be massive. Your guests will help each other find their tables - "Oi Great Aunt Sally - over here!" (lol). I think numbering the tables makes this easier than giving the tables names.0 -
You lot are very chatty!
PinkPrincess - I like table namesbut no idea what we're going to have yet. It might end up numbers if we're feeling lazy! :rotfl:
I too am addicted to Pinterest, a friend introduced me a few weeks ago and I am on it all the time, mostly wedding stuffWhat are your Pinterest names/links so I can follow new peeps?
OK, I've been DYING to tell someone about my dress - it's Ian Stuart Violette (not allowed to post a link but it's on google images).
Opinions? (please be kind lol)0 -

Sounds fab. The tall centrepieces are exactly that, centre pieces. So to have smaller numbers or names would balance. I am planning on tall paper pompoms in tin cans covered in fabric for height and then large flower heads in jam jars around the centre piece for more colour and fragrance. I have brought http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WOODEN-NUMBERS-FREESTANDING-14-5cm-Unpainted-MDF-/250703033360?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Decorative_Accents_LE&hash=item3a5f10b410 kinda thing! I am going to cover them in ripped pieces of tissue paper to match my colours so each one is different.

the bolero too! It really sets it off. I loved it instantly, and it's something a bit different colourwise. I was worried that my mother would hate it but she loved it. Phew!!! :rotfl:
I love those wooden table numbers, must add them to my eBay watch list. I'm not very craft-y mind!0 -
Well we may have table names, we havent decided yet, but I think what ever we have I will use the invites and stick them together and will match them up with the rest of the stationary we are having on the day. I tried them in my little holders and thought size wise they looked lovely. When I get round to taking some photos I will show you and get your opinions.
If we have table names Im not sure what we will go for, we did try and think of some the other day but kinda gave up as all we could think was f1 tracks or teams (we love f1), and I started reeling of random words and oh looked so blankly at me- I pointed out they were all words that then followed his surname!!:rotfl:This is why I think table numbers will be the easiest option.
Pearly- stunning dress.
I would quite like wooden letters for my sweetie table. Will have to have a look tonight.

Excited for you with that dress!! Watch those 'numbers' by all means on ebay but these are the exact ones I got and I have to say imo they are good quality, solid feeling and finished really well and smooth . . . .

Well its my first proper weigh in tonight and i'm dreading it. I had a sneak peak at home yesterday and i think its only 1lb off. I have been 110% and exercised 3 times this week which is afirst for me!! So i pledge now i will not be too dispondant and i will keep at it as it will xhow on the scales eventually . . . perhaps i should measure myself as well.
Trying not to think to much about having to move house and i plan on getting some wedding things this weekend so if i do have to get packing soon i'm ahead of the wedding planning. Can't believe that i may have to change my invitation inserts again. :rotfl: done them twice already due to a change of venue and transport of a vintage bus. Now it will be a new RSVP address. Gotta smile or i might cry0
