It depends what you are after. I know that cruises for 2012 go on sale end of this month. I would think it would not be to much longer before you can get package holidays. Flights dont go on sale until 11 months before hand if booking sepreately

Oh thanks. Hopefully they will be available at the start of April then. I think we would go for a package- no idea where but hopefully when the prices are about we can see where we can afford.

There are a few preview brochures out at the moment...I have one for Virgin Florida and Caribbean that cover next summer and beyond..you can pre register with them if you know what holiday you want and they will come back with a price...otherwise I have been told the Virgin Holidays go on sale from 22nd April ...if that helps
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

LauraL do you have a link to one on the internet anywhere? If not you'll need to create a photo-storage account on somewhere like FlickR or Photbucket, and then from there you can upload your photos off your computer and then either use the image tags (the things in square brackets) to embed the photos or you can send us a link for the photo :)

:( no weddingy things happening here - nothing to report to you all!

    Hi everyone!

Well I finally have something to report for you all - we put the deposit down on the reception last night :p

We've booked a couple of rooms in a nice country pub, I may have mentioned it before but can't remember, it's that same one anyway. £150 covers the room hire for both rooms and the garden and patio for the full day.

We've gone for a Pimms reception, if it's nice weather they will do it outside for us but if not it'll be inside. Not sure on food yet but it will probably just be carved meats and salad and stuff. They do a lovely home made summer fruits gateaux for an extra £1 a head, my OH and my mum reckon we still need a wedding cake or cupcakes but surely if you provide a dessert you don't need that as well? Do you reckon that would look really cheap?

Rough cost for everything (room hire, pimms x60, 2 course carved buffet x100, champagne, well cava :rotfl:for toasts x100, linen etc) is £1950 - more than I wanted to spend, but considering some venues charge that for room hire it's not too bad is it?

So thats the church and the reception done, I thin thats the main thing isn't it. Just gotta do all the little stupid bits now!

LauraL, how come you don't want your oh to see pictures? Did you overspend on it :rotfl: Just get a red pen and write 'reduced' on the tag haha he'll never now the difference!

PinkPrincess, I would try asking on the holiday boards about that because they might have some good ideas on there for moneysaving.

Have a good eve all xx
Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o
