Haha Natalie so your the only happy jogger i know!
Had a chat with H2B about invites and made a mock up. He liked the new design better. However he did make a sensible suggestion - yes that's right, an actual sensible suggestion from a man!!!!! . . . He said send our Day guests the new invites that match the Seating plan, menus etc, because they'll notice and then send the Evening only guests the coffee and cream ones as they won't see the day stationary.
Don't let on to him, but I thinks that a good compromise. I'll have to think of a way of making it look like my idea or he'll get to big for his boots.0 -

*** stomps in and has a big major huff! ***
I can't find a flipping printer that will accept the thickness of the card I want my save the dates printed on (240gsm) and I'm totally stuck for what to do now? I literally only need 8 sheets printed in blue ink -anyone have any idea of places that do printing like that?
Our actual invites are all due to printed in the same way, so I'm starting to wonder if I'd be better to just buy pre-made invites!
Anyways - rant over!
Futurecooper - great idea by H2B! Sounds like the perfect solution!

I don't know if there is one of these up where you are Laura3 (lol I was tempted to write Tracey3 then just for fun), but when I've had professional printing done of a book I made at work we used these: http://www.kallkwik.co.uk/home/
You could always email them, ask them if they could print onto your card, then if they can you could send them the card, email them the writing and get them to post if back to you.0 -
Laura3 - i would suggest trying your local printers. They can laser print on card, mine was 240gsm and the print is perfect. Not sure how much it costs though as i paid an overall fee for all printing, paper, card, envelopes etc etc. Or maybe put it through a photocopier if they take card. You could try your local Library for that one if you don't work in an office or know someone who does!0

Hello.
Well youve now got me wondering whether my invites will go through a printer- I must try before I waste 2 days leave to make invites that I cant actually make!!
:j:j:j10 months today!! And me and oh had a day off today and we took a short cut and went passed where are having our reception, and I felt all happy and excited that we will be there as Mr and Mrs in 10 months today!!:D. I was chatting to a girl at work who is getting married 7 months yesterday and she was saying all she sorted is the venue and a car, and couldnt believe I how much I have sorted!!
I have a wedding reception to go to tomorrow- no idea what to wear!!
How is everyone??0 -

this should be a link to my next attempt at my invites. I am much happier with those than the original effort . . . . so i'm going with those for at least the Day guests. I have used the printed inserts and i will use the envelopes too.
:j yay to just 10 months today. Mine was 10 months yesterday and still get the excited feeling every time i talk about it. I think we've all done well with our planning. Having time to shop around and get a bargain and not have to settle for anything because its last minute is definitely the way to go. My first marriage, 21 years ago, was pulled together with just 3 months notice. (an army thing!!).
Planning on bringing the work guillotine home at the weekend to cut my card for the invitations that should keep me busy and away from the shops! I soooo need to have a tight month but the new seasons clothes are calling me and with my future weight loss i'll need new stuff. . . thats my excuse i'm sticking to it.0 -
I think they are fab Melanie and I can see why you are so much happier with them than the browner ones... lol now to convince yourself that the browny ones *are* okay for the evening guests! :rotfl:
Well at the moment I have my head still in gear - although tonight's run was bloody hard work and I was most definitely red faced and unsmiling!! If you'd been within ear shot you may even have heard the odd expletive as well!! :rotfl:
Am off to visit my big brother this weekend (who's getting married Aug 2012) - will be interesting to see if I can talk about anything other than weddings :rotfl:. After a few hectic weeks at work things are starting to (finally) settle down - I still have a lot on my plate but it all feels so much more manageable and less urgent and hectic. So I'm able to think about the wedding againI just can't wait. It's soon going to be October, and then it'll soon be the 17th October which'll be 9 months till the wedding!! AND it's 3 weeks on Sunday till we go diving and I CANNOT WAIT!! We're off to go buy wetsuits on Saturday - Very Very Very excited about this!!
