:) Afternoon ladies!! Cor I go off to work - come back and we're inundated with new faces!! :D How great!! :D

Welcome to you both Maggie and Annie!! (Are they your real names? Do you mind if we call you by them?) Hope you both get as much out of this thread as we all do. It really is a great place to discuss, well pretty much anything!! At the moment we have a bit of a shoe theme going on (REALLY hope they fit you Melanie!) so you don't just have to talk 'weddings' to us. If there is anything you need just shout and I'm sure one of us will be around to help :)

Thank you all for your concern over my back - it's just not used to being sat still for so long without being stretched. I'll soon be back in my schools walking around the corridors every half an hour to fetch the next victim (child lol). Today was fine at work - got some programmes of work organised, some IEPs written, and a big statutory report written. Tomorrow I'm in one of my schools and can't wait :) Then back in the office on Friday. But then.... yaaaaaaaay it's the weekend.
I found yesterday really hard :( Got home from work, did some school work - organising children's files etc, went to yoga (which was bliss), came home cooked tea pretty much straight away, ate tea, went to bed... hardly got to see MrD :(. Today on the other hand was so much nicer - I came home and about 10 mins later he came home :) Although he's off out to play snooker tonight I feel like I've actually seen him and spent some quality time together (lol none of that thank you very much ha!). It just confirms to me that as soon as we're in a position where he can give up his job the better. I want a house husband!

I can't believe how long our list is getting!!
  • Hello and welcome annieNsophie. Another one expecting, this thread is full of babies!:D Is this your 1st? Do you know what your having?

Im shattered- someone please give me so energy!! I was a good girl though and went to the gym, only managed about 40 mins but I tell myself thats much better than not going at all!

Well not thinking this morning when I got dressed I put on a fushia cardi, got to work and 3 compliments about how it went nicely with my hair, and how they thought I had dyed my hair yesterday as it looked so red and they all think it was my cardi making it look redder!

    :jhope the shoes fit.

Sorry if I missed out anything but im so tired my brain isnt working properly!!:j

:) Well then red hair for your wedding for sure :)
  • I think as long as it is still red I will keep it!

I still cant believe you forgot me in the facebook message Natalie! I guess as an E im out the way of you Ls and Ms!!:rotfl:

I was talking to my mum the other day about drink, I hadnt factored this into the budget but I think by reducing the number we cater for in the evening a little bit (47 would have had something to eat including pudding about 5.30, and then there will be a few kids plus cake and sweets so im probably going to cater for about 80) I will be able to afford enough money for asti for the toast and then a few bottles of wine on the tables. My mum goes over to france a couple of times of year so when she goes in November time ill get her to cost it up, and if theres any really good bargains will get her to get it, if not ill just keep an eye out for supermarket deals or get her to have a look if she goes over may time.

Lol it's cause we are always chatting on there you're just part of the furniture!! :)

:( Alcohol is a killer when it comes to my budget - but then I'm having a 'free' bar as I'm not a licenced premises lol. I've budgeted £450 for ours. :(
  • ooo i knew ud get in trouble for that natalie ;)
  • Slight disappointment . . . No shoes in the package, just the dresses! :( They are a gorgeous colour and fabric. Will get daughter to try them on but shes at work the next 2 nights, which is rather inconvenient of her!!

Thanks for all the FB messages and friend acceptances. Not had chance to check you all out (lol) as i'm shattered tonight and in a real grump. That said i am having a saintly diet week and have been to the fitness suite twice this week now . . . thats unheard of!
  • Part of the furniture- hehe thanks Natalie!:rotfl:

For us its the food that taking u a huge chunk of our budget, and thats considering we are getting a good deal on it (when you compare what over people pay), cold meat buffet with loads of extras and pudding for £11 a head and the evening buffet which will be a hot and cold buffet for £6 a head, but when you work it out its like £1000, which is like a third of budget!!
