    :T My big brother has just announced his engagement - they will be getting married 11th Aug 2012. :) Very happy! It gives me something exciting to look forward to after our wedding to stave off the post-wedding blues - is that selfish? Lol. My, our, plan is to get married 17th, party 21st, jet off on honeymoon before 11th Aug then go to my brother's wedding. :D

    *edit*
    Lol I must remember to not interfere in their planning!! (By which I mean ask too many 'hows it going' questions) lol.

    Happy 'one year to go' day :):T:j

    I should not still be sat here. I should be getting ready to go to Lincoln to get my hair done!

    Just looking at things that's left to do and it's really sad:
    * Give notice (1st Aug)
    * Pay for notice (1st Aug)
    * Pay for registry office
    * Order 1 extra marriage certificate
    * Pay for marriage certificates (17th July 2012 - I think)
    * Get MrD to decide if he wants a ring
    * Buy MrD a wedding ring if he wants one
    * Get my hair dyed the weekend before the wedding celebrations (14th July 2012)
    * Decide whether to have my hair up or down (after dress fitting)
    * Practice hair dos (after dress fitting)
    * Get a pedicure and manicure (14th July 2012)
    * Go to Mac for a consultation (26th Aug)
    * Practice make up (after consultation)
    * MrD's mum and MrD to go suit, shirt and tie, shopping
    * Pay remainder of hiring the chairs (Easter 2012)
    * Buy alcohol
    * Buy food for buffet (30th June & 12th July 2012)
    * Buy food for BBQ (30th June 2012)
    * Practice making cheesecakes
    * Order ingredients for cheesecakes (30th June 2012)
    * Make cheesecakes ready for freezing (7th July 2012)
    * Buy some citronella candles for garden
    * Get dessert fork and spoons engraved
    * Buy a giant jenga
    * Go to dress fittings
    * Check shoes and necklace go with dress
    * Buy more shoes and necklace if they don't (after dress fitting)

    And that's it. *sob*
    There are other things to do before the day - but you're only looking at things that can be done from the beginning of July 2012.

    Natalie your necklace looks lovely and how nice of your mum. Your cupcakes sounds so yummy

    OzMel sounds so exciting going to a big bridal fair

    Emma glad you got your cake sorted. All this talk about cake is making me Hungry. May have to ask OH if she wants to start practicing!

    Havn't done much wedding bits - been getting really bad headaches so not really done much this week but the bridemaid shoes arrived today. My sister has tried hers on and they fit so just need my other BM to try on.
    Think i have found someone to do the make-up and is fairly cheap and recommened by my hairdresser and my sister. So i may get my nails done by her in a couple off weeks so i can see whats shes like and go from there!

    I can't believe that a year today I will be getting married (plus others of you as well)

    Natalie: I love that necklace. My morning sickness is mainly during the morning but feel queasy all day. I have not uploaded any pictures yet of our holiday but will show you some when I have.

    Emma: It is so nice when you get another item ticked off your list. Am glad that you found your cake and love it

    Hope you all don't mind me posting my list of things that need doing.

    (Red – Organised but not completed) (Orange – needs thinking about)
    Wedding Invites – Need to come up with a design and sort out costs. Will pop into hobby craft at the weekend
    Bridesmaid shoes – Need BM to try them on to make sure they fit
    Honeymoon – Have requested a brochure. So when that arrives I will ring and book.
    Suits – Being done in October
    Bride’s bag – Will look online
    Jewellery – Look online and maybe pop into a bridal shop in town as at a wedding fayre they had nice jewellery that was cheap.
    Wedding rings – Not sure when to do as my fingers may grow big during pregnancy? May do this in 2weeks when OH has a couple of days off for the scan.
    Favour boxes and items – No idea where to start!
    Balloons – Know what company I want to go with but is it too early to book now?
    Chair Covers – Need to apply for quotes
    Hair and make-up – Need to ask my hairdresser when I next see her and try the make-up lady first by having nails done soon.
    Grooms shoes – Can be done next year. OH hates posh shoes!
    Bridesmaid jewellery and bag – Will look online and in bridal shop
    Gifts – Mothers x3 – Fathers x2 – Best Man – Bridesmaids x2 – No idea what to get!
    Guest Book – Need to pop into town – may do that next week.
    Cameras – Cheap cameras for the tables –will look online. Anyone else doing this?Or is it not worth spending money when people will have their own cameras.
    Centrepieces – Don’t know what to have. We will be having balloons on the table so maybe something small?
    Book to give notice – Need to ring them.

    Tracey my sickness was only in the morning as well.
    and congrats to you and emma for being on your one year countdown!

    My mum made a comment yesterday about getting her friend to do the invites- I was like no, we are doing them! And then she said she wont do them in the holidays cos shes hoping she can publisher from work and will be able to everything on there- grrr- i wanted them doing (Emma stomps her feet in a bridezilla hissy fit!!:rotfl:)

    If you find any cheap cameras let me know as I need to get some- not for the tables but for my childrens photo mission!! I may just get some normal ones in boots as they were like £6 each but bogof- it wont really matter if they arent weddinging!

    This time next year Ill be a married lady- lets hope it whizzes by!!

    My last big thing is a dj. Then its the smaller things!!
