I know, just a tiny bit just to taste them to make sure they were as good as they looked would have been fine- and it isnt her fault if her cakes are better than theirs!!!:rotfl: I bet she wasnt happy as people like to try cakes- and although she would have got herself known today she missed out on at least one booking.
Im sure she will get back to me soon- shes been really good and quicky with replying to my emails before.0 -
I want a wedding job to do... mmm wonder what I could do.0 -
Have you thought much about the bbq? ie have you done a list of food? Are you having any decorations? Do you need plates cutlery etc? (is this factored in to what you ahve already got? etc? Have you found your bbq outfit?0

I know - I could update my wedding list:
(Orange = organised but not completed. Green = nothing left to do/done other than pay. Red = needs thinking about).
Invites & Stamps - Done - just have to address the envelopes.
Thank you Cards (with CD) & Stamps - These are all ready for writing and sending.
Registry Office - well I've coloured this green - the only thing left to do is pay.
Notice - Booked for 1st August this year.
Marriage Certificate - we'll get it when the ceremony is done (plus one spare copy).
Rings - Well I know what ring I want (Heavy D, 18Ct white gold Size K), and where I'll be getting it from. MrD just needs to decide whether he would like a ring and if so what sort etc.
Wedding Dress - Yay got my dress sorted - just have pay the remainder of it, and go for fittings.
Underwear - Sorted both MrD's and mine.
My shoes - Eeek this has gone red due to my MissKG shoes possibly not going with the dress. Need to wait for the dress to be shortened just to double check - if not I will probably get Else Chianti shoes.
Accessories - Well I don't think I'm going to wear anything - I think my dress is wow enough on its own.
Hair - I will have to play around with this when I've got the dress. I did think about having my hair up - BUT I think my dress needs my hair down. I will wear a white flower from my bouquet/MrD's buttonhole in my hair though.
Makeup - I have found my foundation - just have to sort out what colour eye make up, blusher, lipstick etc to wear and what style I want.
Flowers - Bouquet and buttonholes done!
MrD's suit - MrD's mum is going to help sort this one out - take him suit shopping etc.
MrD's shoes - Got him a really nice pair of London Base shoes.
BBQ for after the ceremony - This pretty much speaks for itself - meat, salad, bread. Done. But will break it down into quantities etc nearer the date.
Marque for the garden party - Sorted! Two 3x3 white gazebos!
Seating - Have placed an order, and paid a deposit, for some white plastic garden chairs for £1.50 each plus £10 delivery & collection. Just need to pay off the rest of the bill.
Alcohol for the party- I know what I will get. I just have to wait till Christmas to buy cheaper booze!
Catering for the party - I know what I will get - I just have to wait to closer to the date so I can place a tescos/asda order.
Cake - We'll be having little miniature cheesecakes for everyone. I have bought my cake stand. I will just have to wait closer to the date so I can place a tescos/asda order.
Decorations - The only thing left for me to do is to get some garden torches and then put everything up. I have: 56 Paper hearts, Mr & Mrs fork/spoon, 12 jam jars with tealights, Mr & Mrs wooden letters, Gazebo with bows, white table cloth with burgundy runner, white napkins with burgundy ribbons, 21 Cloud 9s, Table confetti, Gerberas on chairs, and Fairy Lights on legs of gazebo.
Entertainment - Well this is organised - in that we're just going to have our iPod set up - but we will need to sit down and plan our music - lol and filter out any with any bad language lol.
Hen night - I just need to get the restaurant booked for tea. My Chief-Bridesmaid-If-I-Was-Having-One and I are going to get our hair done, have a salt scrub, manicure and pedicure, and then a meal at my fave restaurant.
Stag night - He can organise that!
It is 365 days, 22 hours, 0 minutes, 38 seconds till our wedding.
(Lol damn leap year!)0 -
I'm not doing anything for the BBQ other than serving some food
Not bothering with decorations etc - lol I'm only doing it to shut MrD's mum up! Other wise I'd say bye to everyone after the ceremony - see you Saturday. But his mum wants something afterwards. I don't want it to turn into a proper celebration - cause what's the point of the Saturday party then. I am hoping my family don't stick around too long - I know my Big Brother will have to leave early to get back to London (teaching the next day).So I hope a quick burger or two and everyone will sod off. Lol. As for plates/cutlery etc - we'll just use what we have - our proper plates and cutlery cause there will only be a handful of us.
I have had a little look at dresses to wear - there is a nice dress in Monsoon: http://www.monsoon.co.uk/all-dresses/sam-print-dress/invt/95301747/&bklist=icat,5,shop,women,dresses,beachdresses that I am tempted with - lol I can wear it afterwards on holiday! But it's not in the sale so I haven't been in a rush to get it.0 -
Oh that dress is lovely- and has it got silver in it? If so your kg shoes would go fab- and what a lovely outfit that would be for honeymoon.0
-
I think my silver Miss KG shoes and my silver russian bangles would go really well with it... lol but I am NOT buying it now - and will see if it goes in a later sale0
-
Well I've spent the evening designing little labels for the buffet. Although I think most things will be self evident and not need them - lol do I really need a label for 'sausages' - I may just put them on the sandwhiches and quiches - and possibly put 'v's for any veggies - although I don't think any of our guests are veggie. (lol tough if they are!).0
-
Well my cake lady has got back to me- and I am meeting her friday to try some cake and hopefully book- Im really looking forward to getting this booked as that will be a big tick!!0
-
Oh that is great Emma!! Fingers crossed her cakes are as yummy as they look.
I also made the decision today - I *WILL* buy the cheesecakes - I don't want the hassle of having to make them. Lol not when I've got the rest of the buffet to organise!0
