            I use a recipe like the first one in Rikki's post. I use a little demerara in with the white sugar and I also use a bit of golden syrup. I always add chopped nuts and raisins to mine.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

 Mine is an adaptation of one in Bernadine Lawrence's Feed Your Family on £5 a Day. I replace the marge with butter (much nicer 
 ) and the black treacle with golden syrup.                        0 -
