Hi, Blondie_Girl - just been reading your post/the replies & just wanted to send you loads of love & hugs (( )).
I'm a Forum 'newbie', but I can definately see that there are lots of people out there who care about you and how you're feeling! Depression can be a very isolating condition and yet there are so many people who experience it (myself included)! That's what I try to remember- makes me feel less 'alone', somehow...
I'd only echo most of the advice you've been given already - also, if you do go to your GP (& I sincerely hope you do!) he/she should be able to provide you with other sources of support/help. That's what they're there for; please Don't feel ashamed/afraid - and Please make that appointment an 'A.S.A.P' one, not for '2 weeks time'...!
Hope you can keep in touch & let us know how things are going!

I just thought I'd post a little update, and thank everyone who replied. You have no idea how much you all helped me out that day - I really can't remember ever feeling so desperate, but I didn't feel so alone after getting replies.
I am still struggling with work, but I have spoken to my parents and my partner (although I didn't go into a lot of detail about how I'm feeling), and also confided in a close friend who has been fab. I have realised that I'm not alone and am very lucky to have my friends and family to support me.
I'm not sure what the way foreward is at the moment but I am just trying to take every day as it comes and try and remember the good things even when things seem bad.0 -
So glad you are feeling a little better. Just knowing you are not alone can be a great anxiety lifter. Take a day at a time, or if you are going through a bad patch again, even just an hour at a time, and don't be frightened to share your thoughts. A trouble shared is often a trouble halved, and sometimes just talking about the things that worry or stress us reduces the impact they are having.0
