I'm back again - I had to ring up HMRC to stick a rocket somewhere painful because they still haven't sent me a re-issued cheque which I requested in September.
I got sick of waiting for them to answer the 0845 number so I went online and got a direct line instead. Surprise, surprise, I got through straight away and put on my calm angry (don't mess with me ) voice. I did get the run around for a while, but then I was put through to a manager. They have recalculated what I am owed, and a new notification should be with me in the next week (allegedly!)
I'm hoping that this will mark the end of the mater, but that would be naive, eh?
At least it's stopped raining - I'd better disappear again.

Morning (just)
Been late today as it was DD's first day at pre school :j
She's done really well and when I left 45 mins ago she was happy for me to leave. Hope that's the case again on MondayI spend most of her session though trying to settle other peoples kiddies. Bless it's so hard when they're this young and really want mommy
So have come back, having a coffee and eating for England. No lunch for me then
Not sure what I am doing this afternoon. DD was up from 3.30am to 5.30am so a nap might be on the cardsWe had a small wet and slushy covering of snow, bloomin' cold though. OK I like snow but I admit I am now looking forward to Spring
Spend most of my time wishing my life away
Tea tonight will be a makeshift as H is working late. No other news. Had to cajole and then threaten DS to get into his uniform againHope he gets over this quick and back into his old routine asap as I don't want to spend every morning being like this with him
Butterflybrain - Hope the funeral goes well xxx

Bargainbird - hope Spike botty is better soon now you have some cream x
Sorry if I've missed anything important. Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good afternoon OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Morning all, I've been quite busy this morning, dropped DD off to school, she's gone on a trip to a Victorian museum so she had to wear victorian dress, she looked really sweet. Then I went shopping, have got enough in for dinners for a week,
and will stick to my meal plan. I then went to the tip to get rid of some bits. Back home, full hoover through, tidy up and mopped the kitchen/bathroom floors.
I'm now mooching on here before thinking about lunch.
No snow here but being south we rarely get snow, I'd love to live somewhere where it snows a lot as I love it but I understand it's not practical and is a nightmare for many.
I've treated myself to a curry and rice for tea tonight, but they were on offer, 2 for £3 so one in the freezer! DD will have sausage and mash.
Hugs to all that need them, hope poorlies are better soon and hope the funeral goes as well as it can ButterflyBrain, I imagine it will be an emotional one.
A colleague of mine passed away before Christmas and his funeral was yesterday, I couldn't make it sadly
Does anyone know if you do an online shop with Asda etc do they debit your card on the day you order it or on the day they deliver it?"Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

Nothing is getting done here - except the childrens christmas chocolate stash is going down - don't know how, as the children are at school. Must remember to get rid of the wrappers before they arrive home - ha ha ha! Snowing heavily too xMe, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting.
