Horsham and Crawley stores have LOADS of stock left, like 8 aisles full in each :)

  • Wouldn't bet on being told about the sale or there being one at all. When I went in Friday, SA was labelling things up as clearance, but the clearance prices were the 50% off prices plus the extra VAT. The toy aisle apparently, most of it is being continued to so not reduced, think the lady thay mentioned the Waybuloo set must have got lucky for £3 some odd, as it was scanning £15.34 on fri (original price plus VAT rise).

Also talking to the SA at the till and they have been told that they may not be a 75% off sale this year because of all of the violence and abuse that they recieved from some customers last year. She also said that her manager speculated it would still be reduced but the alternative was to not advertise it so that the mobs don't all decend at once.

Was that the big new Boots? Sometimes the small one in Westgate Street has some bargains.

Well Victoria centre has more as it is the bigger store but they had a bit of most things loads of photo albums and gok stuff. Quite a few No7 Gift sets and Natural collection too. I noticed as well they had a pack of 4 ciders for £5 so £2.50 for 4 would be cheap! (if it goes to 75% off)

if you're going to Vic centre on 75% off day, you need to get there for when the store opens at 8am - seriously, last year I got there at about 8.20 and it was like a plague of locusts, there were folk with those huge laundry bags just swiping shelves full!

Yesterday the manager at my local store was saying that the items on clearance are all stock that is discontinued (not being manufactured anymore or redesigned packaging etc) or old products from last year so most of the items in clearance aren't online because of this.

I noticed that before the 50% sale online they had a fair few toys and bits on 75% off under the clearance section (which has now disappeared while the sale is on).

Last year on the 75% off online there wasn't much of a selection, I have done better in the clearance tbh.
    Comping wishlist for 2017
    1. Family holiday 2. Christmas presents :rudolf: 3. Fishing stuff

Just had a conversation with a Boots SA, apparently they have been told it is not on next week, he didnt think it would be on at all from what he was told.

Now I am in a predicament, do I use my points for the things I would like, or do I wait it out and see if anything happens? They cant just hold onto the tatt they have left in all these stores, at some point surely it has to be marked down. Maybe when the realisation takes hold there is no 75% off they think that people will rush out and buy at 50%. At some point soon they have to make way for their spring/summer stock - as in Tesco's who are flogging off all their xmas stuff cheap to make way for the easter eggs that have been gradually appearing since Boxing Day !!!!!
