Hope they sort something more suitable out for you, I would feel exactly the same as you.

I was also going to add to the likes and comments on Facebook but, after liking the Zavvi page, all I get is a description of the organisation, no Facebook Wall is showing for me?

    Good luck :)

  • You must be really deflated and angry

Yes mistakes happen but I'm sure that they could do a bit better with the compensation-it's not very good is it?

Fingers crossed that something nice happens to make up for it :j
Thanks to all posters for your never ending help and support

  • I agree that mistakes do happen, I made a few myself when working for the Bank, we are only human after all and I imagine the person who done it feels awful and will probably be a lot more careful in the future!
However I do feel £30 is a bit mean and they could afford to offer a bit more as way as compensation, after all the vouchers are to be spent at Zavvi as well. I think that £100 would be a good way of saying sorry!

thanks for all your supprot on here both positive and negative as i can see all sides. i will update tomorrow when/if they call:rotfl:
questions i have for them are
    1. why was i sent the email along with someone else
    2. the email was address only to me not copied in to several ppl iyswim
    3. if i was the original winner why hadnt they contacted them,as i have no emails from zavvi anywhere in my account relating to this apart from yesterday.
    3. if i was a reserve(ie original hadnt claimed their prize) why then change their mind.
    4. if i was original winner and they offered it to someone else as i hadnt contacted them(even tho no original contact)- point 1- t/c state all winners will be contacted 28 days after comp closes which coincidentally is today- so i shouldnt have had it stripped from me.
    5. if i was reserve winner then original shouldnt have been stripped for above reason but then i shouldnt have been contacted but as i was well prize should stand for both parties.
    6. 1 upset customer equates to thousands more(pyramid effect ie 1 person tells 10 each of those tells 10 more etc etc till thousands have a bad view of them.

personally i would be happy with just being offered the tv as atonement for their silly error but will obv go all out for full prize first, then as immortal beloved pointed out i have other options to chase as i have nothing to lose.

Have added a comment on Facebook for you Gary. I really think they should honour the e-mail they sent you. I notice the other "winner" on there siad she had emailed them yesterday. Maybe she was the original winner & emailed too late?

I hope this works out for you & your daughter
Thanks to all who post comps :A :T
