:rotfl: i appreciate that mistakes are made, but in this case it isnt kicking up a stink its a huge disappointment to tell your daughter she finally has a new tv then have to tell her later that oops they made a mistake iyswim. Plus depending on the circumstances behind this it is a very very big mistake, not something simple like forgetting to mail a dvd that someone had ordered of them(which judging by their facebook wall happens frquently).:D

Hope you get it sorted, you must be gutted but these things do happen and I think you will have to accept it or at least they could push your compensation up a bit!

thats ok penny i know we all have different outlooks etc no offence was taken:D only people im annoyed at is zavvi.

I have backed up your statement to zavvi on facebook hope they offer you something a whole lot better than the insult they have offered so your faughter can dry her tears.

I also hope that no heads are rolling at Zavvi's end, its a big enough error for jobs to be on the line .. I wouldn't like to be a fly on the wall at Zavvi's offices right now

Incidentally we've also had an email like this, 365 bottles of beer we were told we'd won.. it turned out we were runner up and had won 8 .. big difference, no compensation for disapointment, none expected .. mistakes happen, we took it on the chin and looked forward to our next win

Just backed you up on fb. Mistakes are fine and Zavvi should know they happen but should sort it in a respectable (not laughable) way!!

Just chucked my 2pence worth in on FB, i wouldn't let up on this if it was me.
A massive company like Zavvi can afford to pay for their own mistake, you shouldn't miss out.
