Thought MOT due Jan - expired Aug!!!! Shoooot.
Also can't find log book which I need for something else. Am in a right mood with myself as for someone who is SO organised at work, I am shockingly unorganised at home despite thinking the contrary. Tonight I will resolve this.Debt - CCV £3792

calm down woman.
And the TONIGHT YOU WILL RESOVE THIS sounds really ominous!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Lol. It is ominous.....
Background to this - long story short if I can do such a thing! DH Uncle was selling car exactly same as mine give or take, only diesel, has MOT and is mechanically sound (unlike mine). He offered me it for £450. I have been offered £250 for my current one so would only cost £200 which is what it'll cost me for the MOT and new exhaust etc that comes from the MOT results. Told him all this - he was happy to buy mine still. Picking it up tonight - went to get docs - only have every doc you could ever imagine bar log book (since discovered since last post) and MOT is there but expired. D'oh. Rang him up...erm, well, you see, what happened was.......blah blah and he said, no problem, just ring me when you find the log book and I am not interested in MOT's anyway - sounds dodgy but ok by me.
So now I need to find log book tonight whilst organising the entire house full of documents!!!!
In fact - how much info do I keep? I have my old house sales history and so on but we've moved twice since then, old mortgage stuff for the previous mortgages.....Do I need to keep it all? Ideas welcome. Also I need to create a way to oragnise and keep the things I need as some stuff isn't the right size and shape for A4 file.Debt - CCV £3792

Best made plans and all of that ......
DS now has the bad cold DD had so was with him most of last night and didn't get anything done I planned to. Oh well there's always tonight.
The guy didn't turn up to buy my car grrr so not as much pressure to find the doc now. Still need to do it soon though as will have to declare it SORN if no one buys it.
Off to check my accounts.Debt - CCV £3792

Blowing my nose like there's no tomorrow. Lovely job!
Right account's checked and the money's gone for the xmas gifts I've ordered so that's done. Also insurance for new car's come out so that's paid. There's nothing left to come out now this month.
I will buy the rest of the kids presents (nephews) over the next week so they're all done. Then in laws which I have no idea what to get. Cards and gift wrap next week with nephews presents and they will be delivered on 01st Dec as i am always late with them.
Need a sat nav for my dad so waiting to see if any deals on them, vouchers off and so on. Will get that straight away on pay day.
Also we've agreed to go on holiday next year in April which I have agreed to pay apx £500 towards! This is not in my budget, partially but earlier than planned so I need to re jig as they'll want it 12 weeks before no doubt.Debt - CCV £3792

Morning diary
This morning is another revision morning so about to check accounts to satisfy OCD! then crack on until 1145 ish when I will have a shower.
Just remembered I have a meeting at 10 for 30 mins with someone on Belgium! Joy. My own fault, I rescheduled it forgetting I was revising.
That aside, I've ordered 2 of my nephews Christmas presents with 15% off and free delivery at Argos courtesy of Quido who will be giving me 3% for doing soI also got DD and DS a stocking filler each on the order. Saved £15 ish I think but need to tot my totals up at a later date.
DS outfit came for christening - he is going to look the bee's. Just need to shoes now.
Off to check accounts then get revising.

Quick update as I need to write it down!
Next year 1 of my challenges is to get as many clubcard points as possible to keep them for christmas to pay for food and double up for presents. I will be savings for xmas of course but the plan is any unspent money (ie covered by vouchers) will go to the big D.
I am also doing this for all quidco cashback as I think I already mentioned however the days do fuzz into 1!
Just doing a few big items on ebaygetting back into the swing of things - nothing like the pressure of xmas without CC's and OD's to get you spurred into action lol.
Today's been a lovely long day - normally they go past far too quickly so no complaints off me today....except I can't find my phone however that'll be cos DS has hidden it!

Hi DF2012 just been reading your thread and have subscribed to it. I decided to collect as many clubcard points as possible for xmas this time last year, i boought quite a few things out of mrT's catalogue and at the beginning of november was rewarded with receiving £136 in vouchers, pretty pleased with myself going to try and get more for xmas next year. I joined mrT's xmas savers club so they would'nt send me vouchers during the year but only at xmas.
I am hoping to be debt free by the end of 2013 but at the mo things are'nt going to plan but i am still hopeful, reading these boards keeps me going.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000 -
Morning amber
Lovely to have you along
I'm going to monitor my points after every purchase knowing me and I've found some other threads on here where people are trying to boost their clubcard points and so on. It will give me the focus I need for those quiet periods when you've made all your payments and nothing's doing as I will still need groceries and diesel so can still collect some points at least.
Well when I did my first naive calculations I stupidly assumed my interest rates and how much this'd equate to which then gave me the title for this diary - how wrong I was!!! Current DFD is March 2014 which has been rejigged many times. Currently I am leaving it where it is regardless of what happens financially as things can change so much in the space of a month or two. In 2013 I shall re calculate it to see if can bring it closer and will just keep an eye on it for now.
These board truly do keep you going, I float more on the OS board and the DFW however am dipping my toe in other areas as mentioned.
This time of year I have learnt has an effect on payments to debt as they money inevitable goes to xmas which isn't good considering i have tried to plan to avoid that, ie have savings and such like.
So to have all of my vouchers next year as you have this year is my goal. Also some spending cash from Quidco - already £50 in there from car insurance so that's good.
Congratulations on your vouchers and feel free to stay for the ride of 2012 which will be my biggest year so far now I know what I am doing!
Skint - I'm successfully listing on turbo lister - thanks for the idea of listing one on ebay first! That did the trick as it prompted a form to fill in as they said. Thet've hotted up since I last used it. My pram's already got a bid of £25 on it and I haven't put the picture on yet! local collection too so all's well as no postage costs that I'd inevitably underestimate lol.
Happy Monday everyone!
