Hiya there
Thanks for dropping in - lovely to "see" new ppl. I'll be popping over to your diary after finding it earlier.
Debt wise I am at the frustrated stage where things are moving too slowly for me although this month's been a turning point seeing some of the figures start to go under the next k mark.
Lots of people on here make a payment a day which I think works however mine aren't daily lol.
The biggest thing for me has been a reduction in grocery spends - still very much working on this but it's a challenge and I need plenty of those to see me through.
I've just put £20 petrol in which I hope to last me 7 days.
The last lot has been weekly of £20 (same day most weeks) and I have has 102 miles, 102 miles, 104 miles, 109 miles (latest one) so hoping to get more again this coming week. I think this reflects the slight reduction in petrol prices so hope they keep it up.
On the car note - they can't find out what's wrong with my car - it's not what we thought - so is that a good thing it's cost me no money or a bad thing that it'll probably conk out on me in the winter when I have 2 young kids in the car and the snow's inches thick!
It's forecast a bad winter actually - I've been dipping in the preparing for winter thread on OS boards hence alot of prep now - looking at the electricity and gas etc.
My Virgin CC DFD is looking at end of 2013 now leaving me the last few debts to clear in 2014. I am still not going to say months as they have changed more often than my socks!

OMG the first entry is shocking.
Bacon butty at work £1.26! In my defence I don't often have these, max one a fortnight - everyone has one on a friday and it's torture!!!

If it helps, I don't think I'd be able to resist a bacon butty at only £1.26
! You're allowed a treat every now and again!

Hi DF,
Yep, bacon butties are definitely allowed on a Friday!
Really interested in your energy info - I was going to sign up to a company earlier in the year that offered a free box, but decided not to in the end. Have now gone with Marks and Spencers (yes I was surprised too!) and received £30 M&S vouchers which is lovely but its so worrying about the telly that now I wish I had gone for the box instead! We watch lots of TV, usually films but sometimes I have it on for company or when I'm ironing. we don't leave it on stand by usually, but the computer gubbins are and yes I too use the dryer out of convenience and with wet summers sometimes its a must. i'm going to ask M&S if they will send me one. If you don't ask you don't get right?!

Morning All
OMG I am ashamed of myself this weekend. I have spent a fortune - off to work the figures now and report back so I can tell myself off.
Hi there Polly - what type of tv is it? LCD etc. I was sickened at the weekend when the washer/dryer were on, DW, toaster and microwave - I thought the energy monitor would blow up - it certainly made me think to switch them off as soon as possible.

Thanks hun!
Right.
Good news:
£55 to holiday fund
£66 to weekend away this saturday so no further costs to pay for that one as DH will buy the meal etc.
Bad news:
No money left AT ALL until the end of the month - anything else is from the OD
Spent £10 on a takeaway!!!!! SO BAD as I didn't even enjoy it that much.
Hair has gone up £10 but that's partly as I am getting low lights put in to darken it slightly so I can go longer in between.
Why is it so easy to spend!!!!
Learning from this is don't leave it too late on a Saturday night to do tea for us (adults, kids eat at 5, our only night where we eat separately) as the tempatation to order a take away is too great! I think I will do some HM takeaways from the takeaway secret book.
This week's going to be a hard one as lots of travel so petrol will go up - sigh!
Need to make lists! Feel unorganised!

At the weekend I spent
£10 on take away (so annoyed)
£15 on vets bills (no choice)
£50 hair (in budget but £10 more than expected)
£38 Tesco of which £30 was groceries (too much still)
£20 BnM of which £10 is owed back to me. This was fleeces for the preparing for winter thread.
I didn't prepare enough for the weekend and am kicking myself now.Debt - CCV £3792
