I have a menu plan to take my shopping list from for our holidays and it's at home! Was going at lunch time - how annoying.
So instead I will pop home for lunch and check it then go to Mr T's tonight once kids are in bed.
Have just been through other diaries for inspiration again and it's working. People are doing so well! Must take a leaf from their book!

Hi DF
That is very frustrating! Especially when you had intended to be organised to save time and money
Well done on the payment yesterday.
I bet you can't wait for a week off work! xLBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Hi DF I was turned down by Barclaycard too and I have a good credit history. Only thing is that I have a lot of credit atm, and I think that is why I was turned down, so probably why you were turned down.
Banks are being fussy atm and not helping people cut their debt. They are making money from it.Halifax CC £1029/£2490, Tesco CC [STRIKE]£0/£3203[/STRIKE], Tesco loan £15431/£15808, Carloan1 £6743/£8241, Carloan2[STRIKE] £0/£3813[/STRIKE]

Hi Flee - thanks for dropping in - It's SO annoying isn't it - their way of making money as that means we still have to pay the interest on other ones as can't get a 0% one. i refuse to play their game anymore of trying to get another one and waiting to hear what kind of a mood they are in as to whether they say yes or no. I am simply going to take it on the chin, I got myself in this mess knowing the interest rates and I will get myself out of it.
I pledge to never apply for another personal credit card again.) There, we have it in writing.

OK Today is a major thinking day.
Having spent an hour or so looking at my spreadhseet I am realising that it's not all a bed of roses.
My Virgin balance, if only paying the min payments, goes down by all of £100 in 12 months. That isn't good....hmm. It's not the highest APR (by 3% or so) so i have not been tackling that first.
However if I hit that first the others will also be paid off by the time that one is from having paid the min on the others each month whilst throwing the rest of my money at virgin - make sense?
My OD has gone so I am happy and Next will be in a few months which will be a great thing too however again - interest is only £10 month on next as such low balance now... do i leave that open and use the money to virgin instead?
i just really wanted my account with next closing completely....
I think I will sleep on it!

Sometimes its nice to have the boost of paying off one of the smaller debts first, however if you are feeling motivated and positive anyway then its best to go after the highest APR xLBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

I think seeing such high balances is making me feel the worst - the low balances i am ok with in a sense as i know I can handle them. it's the high ones I worry about in case I suddenly had to pay them off or something happened etc.
Virgin APR is 17% and Cap1 is 22 I think. Virgin I pay higher amount of interest to as balance higher so although the apr is higher on C1 I am still costing myself more a month in interest with virgin if that makes sense....
I want a long soak in a lovely bubble bath and a glass of crisp cold wine.

Sounds like Virgin is a good one to tackle next.
A glass of white wine sounds lovely, its needs to be dry though - cheers :beer:LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)
