Yes, most supermarkets appear to operate on the same basis as a feudal monarchy. The king may well have decreed the law of the land, but the local nobility will often try and do things their own way in order to extract a few extra farthings from the peasantry. It is therefore sometimes necessary for the local serfs to appeal to the crown for justice, at which point the king will ride out to remind the nobility who is actually in charge and to cut off a few heads as necessary. Although these days they do it all by email.
then an email to the crown of Asda justice, i will send
Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -
So far i have had £6.00 of vouchers -what have others had?0

Much more than that in total, sometimes that much in one shop, but lately I have had far fewer as ASDA is consistently more than 10% cheaper for my normal shopping, usually due to some fairly spectacular offers, which differ from the other supermarkets' mega-offers. One day my wife and I will go round with two trolleys and put all the mega-offers in one and the ordinary-priced stuff in the other! So far i have had £6.00 of vouchers -what have others had?2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.0 -

I do a large monthly shop online, then smaller ones instore each week. Over half of my shopping is not compared even big brands like Coca Cola. Am i really getting the cheapest prices or is Adsa cheating0

It depends on how it is being sold - the sizes and quantities have to be comparable, not just the product. Personally I have had relatively few problems with common products not being comparable, many times I have been surprised at how many have been, including own-brand items. I don't think Asda is "cheating" at all, they are genuinely cheaper than the main opposition, as has been proven many times by independent surveys.I do a large monthly shop online, then smaller ones instore each week. I just tried it for the first time with an old receipt - & straightaway got £2.72, so I dug out other receipts from the paper bin & got myself another over £6 worth of vouchers, which I believe I can use all at once! Not bad as Asda is my nearest shop & I usually only use it for top ups!0
