I'm sure this has been answered before on the thread but I can't find it:o I haven't had a voucher from Asda for weeks and I was wondering why. Why doesn't it compare goods that they must be selling in other shops, like loose carrots? What seems to happen is that the system selectively chooses the requisite number of items and ignores others so (I think) narrowing my chances.
Can anyone explain how it works?0 -

Then the Old Kent Road branch in London is acting in breach of the APG T&Cs. I recall someone else here on MSE having a similar problem with their local ASDA (off on the coupon thread I believe). They were encouraged to complain to ASDA Central Command and they got an apology and a giftcard as well as a promise that the local store would be reminded of the correct policy.0 -

are you telling me there is not a change in policy then? In the past I have used 3 or even 4 vouchers, but yesterday the check out lady said I could only use one. She even said that, that has always been the general policy.
A family relative went into the Old Kent Road store of Asda, last weekend, and was told at customer services, one voucher per transaction.
where can i find the T&C to clear this up?Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -

Well loose carrots should compare since both Tesco.com and Sainsburys.co.uk sell loose carrots but,
a) Morrisons excepted, it's not what the shops sell that matters, it's what's for sale online that matters
b) Often the things that you think are comparable aren't. You might think that a British lettuce is the same as a lettuce of unspecified origin. The supermarkets concerned may well beg to differ.
c) it's always possible for mySupermarket to bog things up. (And the APG is driven by mySupermarket.) Loose carrots is an example. mySupermarket appears convinced that Sainsbury's only sells 'em in 139g lots at 10p a time for some unexplained reason and has thus concluded they are not comparable with any other supermarket's offerings.0 -

You can find it here;
http://www.asdapriceguarantee.co.uk/Administration/Questions-and-answers.aspx
scroll down to almost the bottom, and you will see as previously quoted by another poster;
"I've made two successful claims so have two vouchers; can I use them both in one shop?
Yes just present them to the checkout operator to be discounted from your shopping."0 -

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, your absolutely correct, I can use more than one voucher per transaction. As more than one staff have declined the vouchers, sounds like the store manager or a member of the management team has briefed the staff in the branch. I think I will telephone customer service Asda HQ tomorrow, and nip this in the bud
thankyouTrinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -

Yes, most supermarkets appear to operate on the same basis as a feudal monarchy. The king may well have decreed the law of the land, but the local nobility will often try and do things their own way in order to extract a few extra farthings from the peasantry. It is therefore sometimes necessary for the local serfs to appeal to the crown for justice, at which point the king will ride out to remind the nobility who is actually in charge and to cut off a few heads as necessary. Although these days they do it all by email.0
