the weights need to be within 10% and also the quality of the products need to be similar, ie they wont compare a 500g smartprice pack of mince with a 500g tesco finest pack of mince0

Well on one of my few visits to Asda we just got a voucher for 34p!
Though looking into it only £10 of our shop was comparable, when we spent a £30 something in total, not including some wine
So only a third taken into account which isnt great....
Anyone tried using the vouchers in tesco yet?
Yes used several in Tesco, no problems so far, although they seem to have no idea what it is all about!essex girl in exile0 -

Thanks, I'll be prepared for them to call their supervisor! :rotfl:0 -
my local tesco always keeps the old asda receipt and staples it to the voucher, so now in tesco i only use receipts/vouchers that are nearly 28 days old. technically i could argue to get it back i suppose, but what would be the point other than for principle?0

puddings, i dont think we need to keep the receipt just need to check it so maybe just ask if you can keep it? Or have they said they need it? I dont remember seeing anything in the training sheets about keeping the receipt :S0

It does say on the voucher that you have to present it with the receipt at the store you shopped from and maybe Tesco take the view that they should keep the receipt too...0 -
Asda staff are supposed to write something on the receipt to prevent re-use. I believe Tesco took the same stance, but perhaps some stores are applying this differently?0

Tesco are meant to mark the ASDA receipt and give it back to the customer. Your ASDA receipt is your proof of purchase and they have no right to keep it.
ASDA does say you need to show receipt but I have never been asked for it and I think their systems can trace if the same voucher is used twice so it's not an issue for them.0 -

In general although Asda may be a few percent cheaper on most items I think that they may still work out more expensive overall as they have fewer promotional prices/offers - for example they might be 5% cheaper of washing powder at standard prices but if you only buy 6 months supply when it is on Bogof at Sains twice a year then your annual spend on washing powder is less at Sains.0
