Right ladies I need your opinions, what music are you using for your ceremony?

We have a friend who has kindly agreed to play guitar for us (saving us a small fortune!) but I'm a bit stumped as to ask him what to play...I want to steer away from the music you hear at every wedding I've ever been too (no offence to anyone using those pieces, each to their own!) but still keep a nice relaxed, classical feel to it rather than asking him to play our favourite rock songs!

What are you all walking down the aisle too? Just the standard bridal march or is anyone being a bit offbeat or using different versions of the bridal march?

    Any ideas welcome :)

Wow well done! I don't know what to get my bridesmaids...I want to get them something really nice but don't have heaps of money spare, will check out the jewellery in Debenhams & hopefully find a bargain like you did :) Did you get them all the same necklace or different?

I got them all the same one... It was easier and then I know I've spent the same amount on them all rather than more on one cos they are all equally important.

I will be writing a card/poem for them all tho, so it's personalised to them :)

    I want this song - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuOFzYLt_yg
That's the instrumental version, tho I love the lyrics...

This is the version with lyrics... The instrumental beginning makes me cry and the first few lines do...

I let my gran listen to it and she burst into tears when she heard the intro

**I just don't know how to chop it down to an acceptable walking down the aisle version!**

    Hello ladies!

I haven't been here for a while as I've been moving house too. I have been keeping up with everyone's plans though, which seem to be coming on well.

I'm also slightly freaked out by how soon it's coming around and have now got my backside back into gear!

Pernicious, I've been thinking long and hard about music too, and have come up with .................................. nothing! Like you, I don't want the usual stuff but don't know what I do want, so please keep us updated with what you decide, as I may use your ideas for inspiration (or steal them)! :D

I got my bridesmaid's bracelets - they are nearly the same, but each have their own initial charm.

I'm really struggling with what to walk into. I don't want bridal march but church wedding so can't go too far out. Although we are having a "different" walking out song.
Hope all the house moves went well

Do you think it's rude to put on our wedding leaflets the ceremony begins at 1pm so please arrive at the church by 12:45pm?

Ladies, is anyone else panicking about how quickly time is flying?!

Big time :( Just found out we have to move house at the end of September too, plus we have to spend every other weekend at my Mums (3.5 hours drive each way) for the next 3 months. Bit panicky about how we're going to have time to do things :(:( However, it does mean I'll get to spend loads of time with Mum, which makes me very happy :)

No Becs I don't think that's rude at all. I'd be tempted to put it starts at 12.45, but that's cause a lot of my friends are rather lax with timekeeping :rotfl:

ME!!! Lol, very glad to see I'm not the only one though.

Hope the house move went well, what are you using to make your wedding website? Is it free?

Can you let me know if the dresses are any good? £35 a dress is very MSE & would save me a small fortune!! Hope you manage to find a good colour match, I'm even struggling with purple let alone teal so I wish you luck!

The house move went well thanks although we had to buy furniture so that ate in to our wedding budget. The swatch arrived yesterday and is exactly the right shade so I am hopefully going to go up to Birmingham to look at the dresses.

I am using gettingmarried.co.uk to make website. Basic website is free although they charge you £10 for more control on how it looks, personalised URL. If you are interested I can PM you the link to our website (I paid the £10).

Married the absolute love of my life on Sunday May 6th and I couldnt be happier!!!
