spoony great news! Can you tell me how you did your wedding info bits on vistaprint? And when are you sending them out?

The wedding info brochure thing was from one of these designs -
http://www.vistaprint.co.uk/gallery/EBIAAAABAAMAAAA=/brochures/wedding.aspx?xnav=popsearch
I put the following on each page...
Panel 1 (front cover) - I put our names, wedding date and place of marriage
Panel 2 (inside front cover) - I put the proposed ceremony times with a asterisk explaining that "the best laid schemes of mice and men"... (so people know it might change!)
Panel 3 (middle inside panel) - food, including wedding breakfast and evening buffet food (as out RSVPs ask about allergy info etc)
Panel 4 (inside right) - important numbers and hotel info (name, address, tel and website)
Panel 5 (outside fold) - hotels continued and a polite notice about booking taxis beforehand to ensure guests have them (and just in case they're a bit drunk! :rotfl:)
Panel 6 (back cover) - directions to the venue, including map

Hope that helps a bit... (just included the kind of things we put on each panel)
Panel 5 Panel 6 Panel 1
Panel 2 Panel 3 Panel 4
We're sending them out with our Wedding invitations, just to the day guests, we've also done a hotel info leaflet which we'll put in with the evening invitations.❤Planned our wedding, still planning lessons❤

Great work Spoony - I will be checking out Vistaprint whenever I get some spare time! I can't believe how busy things have been lately, & that's NOT with wedding planning! I really need to crack on & get some more bits done before I start to panic lol.
On a more positive note, I had a quick chat with my mum when I saw her last & she has given me a figure with which to work with - I am so lucky! This will make things so much easier now, I don't have to worry about being up to my eyes in debt just to afford it, & Hawaii may even be back on the cards! Just need to sit down & work through the budget again now:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57

Well the OH has gone off looking for (and hopefully trying on) suits today... I've armed him with my dad's measurements cos my dad's a big guy and I need to know whether they do the suits that will fit him or whether they can get him just a waistcoat.
I've also requested fabric swatches if he find something he likes
Fingers crossed, his best person has gone with him so hopefully she'll guide him in the right direction.
I on the other hand am going to pop to Sainsbury's, pick up some vitamins and hair dye then come back and dye my hair and bake some cakes... I baked Nutella buns on Thursday night... Very yummy!❤Planned our wedding, still planning lessons❤

Well the OH had a very successful trip yesterday... He's picked out the suit he likes and is gonna let his dad see it to make sure he likes it before he places the order. What's better still is the shop is gonna send a form to my dad to get his measurements so they can get him a suit (tho my dad is very fussy so will probably complain about it not fitting properly etc. tho if he doesn't wanna go to the shop, I can't make him!)
I've just ordered my bridesmaids' gifts too... One less thing to worry about.
The OH is also checking on his family's requirements for hotels and is ringing/emailing some hotels to check availability for the day (he's worrying as it's a double bank holiday so places might be booked up pretty quickly.)
Oooh and we're giving notice on Wednesday! Eeek! I've heard it's a bit stressful; that they put you on the spot with questions... Sounds like an interview! Eeeek!
Can anyone give me a little insight into what sorts of things they ask you/expect you to know? Ta muchly!
Hope everyone's well and I hope you're getting sorted slowly but surely❤Planned our wedding, still planning lessons❤

Spoony glad you got your bm gifts - what have you got them? Also please about your OHs suit! Good luck giving notice, sorry can't help but am having church wedding.
On the vistaprint brochures, did u have to pay full price? Or did you do the add to basket and wait for offer trick!
Ladies, is anyone else panicking about how quickly time is flying?!First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140 -

I've got them all a necklace from Debenhams... Reduced from £25 to £6.60 each! So very money saving...
I didn't pay for the brochures, I did them, saved them (cos you can) and then waited until I got the 25 free and added them to my basket and it did it automatically
I can get another 25 free now but I'm wanting to see what they look like first.
I am also surprised at how quickly the time is going! I can remember when it was 15 months to go and now it's ten... Eeeeek!❤Planned our wedding, still planning lessons❤

Hey Spoony, giving notice is nothing to worry about. We did ours a few weeks ago. We were taken in to a room separately - me first, as she said the women usually remembers the important bits!! She asked where we were getting married, date and time. She asked for my full name, DOB, occupation and my father's occupation. She then asked my for my OH's DOB and occupation. Nothing major, she took ages typing it into the computer!! We then swapped over as she asked him the same type of thing. After that i think we both went in together, she explained what would happen and we signed something...i think! It was very relaxed, i can barely remember it, so nothing to worry about! I even joked that i'd prepared OH and made him recite my DOB etc, on the way there!! She laughed and said it was usually the case!Don't let your fears stand in the way of your dreams. :A0 -
Hello all. I haven't done any wedding stuff for ages as we have been busy moving house. Now that we are settled I have been busy planning things. I made a wedding website today and I am going to put the link in our invites so that people can have directions, gift list etc without me having to pay to get brochures printed.
Been looking at bridesmaid dresses, seriously tempted to order from Huiyunkitty on ebay as she has lots of good reviews and made to measure dresses cost just £35 each. I have ordered some swatches as teal is an awkward colour and seems to mean something different everywhere we go. I feel a bit nervous ordering from ebay in case quality isn't very good so might go to Birmingham to view the dresses before ordering.0 -

Hope the house move went well, what are you using to make your wedding website? Is it free?
Can you let me know if the dresses are any good? £35 a dress is very MSE & would save me a small fortune!! Hope you manage to find a good colour match, I'm even struggling with purple let alone teal so I wish you luck!:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57
