No Cathy, you're not. You don't really need this, especially at the moment!
If it helps, the people in our office contribute to a present from 'work' for everyone's wedding, but very few of them are actually invited. It's just something we do. Maybe she doesn't think she's invited, and if she does it's kinda up to the person who cause the mess to sort it surely?
P.S. Don't invite her, she sounds like a real drag!
Fingers crossed all your stuff gets sorted Mup, and let's hope this is the last of the rubbish before your awesome new life as a wife begins0 -
Thanks guys! I think I'll just leave it unless she says anything or it comes up in conversation when I'm around her. At least if it gets awkward I'm leaving at the end of August so won't be awkward for long lol.0

no you are not a bad person, i would say something if the assumption is that she is invited, we just need to think of a polite way of saying it.
oh sorry you were away for x amount of time i didn't think you would be well enough (assuming it was sickness)
oh sorry you being away and all, no spaces left, but if anyone drops out you take first dibs (although you can never say in work if anyone has)
or it could be a good time to get to know her out of work?
Er - the pub is the place to get to know your colleagues, not your wedding day!!! The point is that it's your nearest and dearest there, so small talk is completely unnecessary. Cathy, I would defo say something. Mupette's suggestion of saying that you're at max numbers is a really good one.
Mupette - you are having a hard time of it - hugs xx

I hate today so much. Im so angry I've been crying. You all know how i feel about the useless "best man"....well she's just said to OH she won't be staying in our house the night before because she can't (won't?) leave her puppy. This is despite loving across the road from her dog owning parents. Leaving him in the house on his own that night and morning. I could honestly and happily punch her!! Haven't seen him in person yet, just through text and he says he's fine but i know he won't be that morning. Im so angry at her, i don't understand how she can be so thoughtless. This after no stag do and no speech. Going to try and persuade him to let me have a word.
Today sucks! (sorry for all the typos...angry typing on a touch screen is pants!)0 -
Sorry Cathy
I hope you manage to get something sorted out.
Re. the Stag do - I wonder if one of his other mates might be up for organising something for him after the wedding? I know it's not the same but might make both he and you happy0
