Yargo, if I was you I'd be saying that I didn't want a flower girl anymore if the mother can't look after her.
Anibell, I'd be the same with your guest. We had one that specified vegetarian and when she found out what the normal menu choices we'd picked were she decided she wasn't vegetarian anymore. There are also some relatives on the OHs side who I'm sure are boycotting because their children aren't invited. They're always centre of attention so I'm loving the fact that they aren't getting their own way!
Thanks for the info about bolero - I've ordered one online but not sure if it will turn up in time so may be popping into M&S now to see what they're like.
Bought some human hair yesterday for my hairdresser to make some extensions up. Need to drop them off on Friday night and the CD to the venue, and got waxing after work tonight and eyelash extensions after work tomorrow night. Hen parties again on Saturday - no rest for the wicked!Getting married: 21/06/12!Current weight loss: 2st!!!0 -
my god did we realise how stressed we would get with the run up to our special days?
I'm panicking because the suits should be here any day, and no email to confirm which day, they said they would nearer the time, as they need to be tried on and changed if wrong.
starting to clear the house of clutter and hiding it at OH's home, although kitchen needs a good sort out, but because i have no back gate, all garden stuff needs to be dragged through the house so i am limited to what i can clean and sort.
just had letter after my call last week to housing/council tax confirming that OH will be moving in on wedding day, they now want proof of income etc, but have spoken to them today to stop my claim as although we will be poor, we will probably just over the threshold, so all that is now sorted so i don't get hit with overpayment, and we can review all this once the stress of the wedding is over.
just rang M&S cake is all sorted, all details checked and it will be at the store on Monday for me to pick up :j
flowers my bridesmaid are dealing with,0 -
Anibell I think past caring is a good place to be personally! lol.
I had a practice with bouquets last night with my friend....she's amazing! They look so professional I'm so pleased! I just have to order the flowers and she's collecting and paying for them the day before all as part of her present to us
Makeup trial number 2 on Friday, I'm feeling a bit more hopefully about this one! I really don't wear makeup EVER so when the first girl applied it with an air-brush gun I thought it was a bit OTT and orange for me! Fingers crossed!
Down to single figure count down tomorrow! :j0 -
8 days before the wedding, surely the venue can cancel 2 meals! The food won't even have been ordered yet (by them)!
Depends on the venue and the contract I guess, doesn't itBut the venue aren't really the ones I am feeling let down by
Great to see you girls are making such good progress!
Cathy - I am the same. I wear make-up about four times a year so I am feeling very nervous about it!0 -

For me its not the cost of two meals - its the fact i have 7 tables of ten and a top table. . i dont want 11 of a table even if i could pay for another meal..
Its also the fact that me or my family/friends will need to be looking out for a child that isnt mine or theirs.. and i know that makes me seem bad as she is my god daughter .. but her mum has now really annoyed me...
i do feel like saying either come as planned or dont come at all.. but then its not fair on the 5 year old flowergirl....
my mate is just so blinkered by her oh... to be honest... by the 23rd they will probably have broken up again... and then ill have " but i want to come to meal now.. " grrrrrrrDEBT FREE - MARCH 2012 - NOW JUST THE MORTGAGE!

Oh you'll laugh at this one.
Ok we can't afford to have a 'do anywhere, so OH went to great lengths to patio the garden so we could have it here.
Been saving all my nectar points up so that i could buy the food at Sainsbury's. Checked with them in store last week, and i was told to make a list of everything i wanted and give them 7 days notice.
And so I've just gone there, gave them my list and said what i was told last week, and how home delivery although good would not be good this time round because if there are anything missing or wrong, i don't have the time to sort it out, this was all picnic type food for a finger buffet. A lovely lady tried to sort it out, and i questioned about if they don't normally stock certain items can they get them in just for this order, last week the answer was yes, anything i wanted i could have.
Just been told no, head office would not allow this, i can do home shopping and pick it all up at the homes hopping store which is the other side of town, which would of been a nightmare for me.
So just been speaking to care line as was told to do by the store, poured my heart out as i don't have money for food, i had purposely saved up all my points to do this, and i can't look elsewhere now. He's just gone off to ring the store etc to see if they can resolve this, Alan said that the store can do my list there should not of been a problem with my request.I await a call back.
I'm not stressed, I'm not stressed, I'm not stressed, I'm not stressed,0 -
