I had my second weddingy dream last night, I think it was due to hearing that people have received their invites! (Not that my parents or sister have bothered to let me know :mad:)

Basically in during my dream, my OH was running late and so I got to the venue before him and ended up sitting down on one of the chairs at the front and taking my shoes off cos they hurt :undecided

When OH turned up, I walked back up the aisle in front of everyone and then walked back down and married him. I didn't see half the people who were supposed to be there either (including my sister) and it didn't matter.

Weird dream or what?!

Anyone else having some weird wedding-related dreams?

ARGGHHHH!

Not done anything really sicne the last time I posted.

SOOOOO much to do... less than 5 months. Eeeek!


BUT, we're going to see some caterers tomorrow about getting sandwiches for our afternoon tea, and we're also going to taste some wines!

Going to have a look at getting the invitations basically finished this weekend, and getting the website up and running.

Then.... EVERYTHING ELSE!!!

We finished our invites on Tuesday (as in printed the postage and sent them, we spend the whole on Sunday cutting and sticking with the OH.)

Had my gran text me yesterday to ask if they needed to do anything now they have the invitation. I replied that it would be nice if she sent the RSVP back with any problems with the menu (she's intolerant to some citrus fruits and out dessert is citrus lemon tart.)

Hopefully on Monday we'll receive some RSVPs! (Although people will probably not bothered as they presume we know they're coming!)

Spoony - don't count on it! We're still waitin for 1/2 of our RSVPs as I'm sure people think we know they are coming! As my MoH said to my bm, if they've made the effort to send you an invite, make the effort to send an RSVP card!

My mum rang me this afternoon, but I missed it so she left a voicemail which said "oh you know we're coming so we don't need to send those bits of paper back *waits a few seconds as though listening to someone* oh we do need to send them back."

I think it was my gran saying that they did need to send them back as I already told her she needed to sent them back.

Also, OH sent his auntie, uncles and 2 cousins invites to the wrong house :rotfl:

Haha spoony - that's why I sent all of our invites my OH would have done something like that!

Gem - sounds great! Where are you going/what are you doing? My 2 bms are sorting mine and I have NO idea what we are doing - just that it's not very MSE!

We have had a very wedding-y weekend - went to our wedding preparation morning at church yesterday which was great. Then today we have been to our reception venue as every 6 months they set it up as if for a wedding so we went to get a better idea of where everything/everyone will go! So very much in the wedding planning mood now. Off to chase those RSVPs..... :@

Yay for a weddingy weekend Becca! I bet you were so excited about seeing the venue set up... In around 4 months they'll be doing that for you!

Also, despite my gran reminding my mum that I did need the RSVPs back, when I called them today my mum said "oh we don't need to send them back do we? Cos you know we're coming." Yes I do, but that's not the case! I have given you room on the RSVP to write down what dad won't eat on the menu and if it's not down, then he's eating what's on the menu!

We've booked a little cottage up near Carlisle for a week.
We didn't want an exotic holiday, just chance to be together and relax for a week very excited!


ALSO, we went to meet a caterer today, who was just fantastic!!!

The afternoon tea bit of the afternoon, she's charging £3 a head for sandwiches, savoury scones and things like potato salad, crisps etc.
We were going to ask some friends to make cakes, but we may get a couple of hers as well so we don't have to ask too many people (she wants £15 a cake... chocolate cake etc...).

We may order one for our wedding cake too!!!

Then for the evening, we're looking at baked potatoes, and she quoted £3 a head for those too! BARGAIN!

So, we're saving over £1,200 on our original food budget!!
