Just to defend this chap....do you personally know him ? Its like me calling you a prat for posting something about someone you dont know anything about. And for the record the chap has a very bad speech impediment !
Sounds like you're one of the 30Mph in a 50 zone and im not going any faster brigade ! that cause raised tempers in the cars behind you...
This your new nickname then ? :rotfl:
And they say irony is dead. Geez.I personally flash oncoming drivers to warn them of any local speed traps, when you drive for a living as I do its nice to get advanced warning of the scamera vans.
Without my licence I would'nt have a job and probably a house as where I live we have no public transport so couldnt work.
I can honestly say that I watch my speed very closely for the said reason and have always had a clean licence, so why should'nt I give warning to others who might be in the same situation as myself ?
Here's a bit of a wheeze and it might help you keep your licence........but then I suspect you really know the answer anyway.
Why should you act as arbiter of the road. That is the job of the police. By informing someone of the presence of the camera does them no good at all. They need to be caught, for the good of themselves and others. Surely, as a professional driver, you would be the first to complain about someone too stupid to know what the speed limit is.The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

Exactly, is flyboy going to go down to his local cop shop and tell them he was speeding "the other day" and insist they give him a ticket? Or does flyboy never speed? Yeah right, flyboy, and pigs fly too!0 -
You mean one you agree with.
No it was a good answer.
Now given that you think your the god almighty round here what would you use as a deterrent for speeders?
Now as paradigm has said he is against the use of hidden speed traps - but if these speed traps catch people who are speeding then have they not served their purpose - which is to catch people breaking the law..
Now you think your clever and you also think you know it all so what would you do to people who break the law.
a sensible question so please give me a sensible answer"If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
Anyone heard of any updates on this case? I apologise for bringing it back but I was wondering if his appeal is ongoing.Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0

Keep your distance!
Of course, that is exactly what I was saying, treat 'em all like turds unless you have an incompetant driver filter???;)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

But every piece of publicity I've seen about speed traps has the Police and authorities in general claiming that they are to deter speeding - not to catch offenders.0 -

Depends who's favour it's in“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
