Just recently switched from Atlantic to EDF and had to call them yesterday for the first time ... 55 minutes on hold before the call was answered. Had to call them again today, another 50 minutes waiting! I realise they are busy after the Christmas period but this is just rubbish.

I agree. it really is rubbish. My switch hasn't even gone through apparently."fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell)0

Lol @ backfoot!
I imagine that they're still busy from all the people that took up the bonus offer they had running. People are nearly completing their switch and are now being asked for meter readings or have queries. No excuse for hold times that long. Just saying it may not be the normal thing.0 -
Yeah they could play a full personalised compilation for you for the 50 minutes or so. Wow good times.

Eventually got through to a very helpful woman this afternoon, but only after having been cut off mid-conversation last night, having waited another half hour to get through. Not good.0

I was waiting 1hr 40mins on Tuesday but had to go to work so after waiting that long, still didn't get through. On Wednesday I rang bang on 8am when they open and got straight through.I work for first direct and have previously worked for Santander.
Any information I give should not been seen as being given from first direct or Santander however I do have certain knowledge from working there.
Thank you, Chrissy :wave:0 -
