Woohoo payday yesterday
i've topped the savings up to £1000. So that's £2100 left.
Think i'll wait a couple of weeks to see what bills are to be paid before i add anymore.
Good luck everyone xxTesco CC 1300/461.93/838.07Mini HP 13000.62/5813.62/71870 -
Have put 21.96 into 'overpayment challenge' account

I would like to change my goal for this challenge to finding an 'extra' £1243.22. Is that OK? I'll start with whatever's left in my bank account on payday (if anything!), ebay in a couple of days, cashback end of March, and whatever i can scrape together in between!
Have now applied for a second savings account to funnel this money into!0 -
Hi all,
Have decided that i don't need an Iphone4 ! I can't justify paying so much for a phone and I don't want to be tied in to a contract either. Soooo i've heard lots of good reviews on the Orange San Francisco and have looked around online and can hopefully get one for £75
(It's £89.99 on the web but ive found a £10 promo code and also £5 on TCB, plus i'll get £30-40 for recycling my current phone. I can unlock it and uninstall the pre-loaded Orange guff and put a Giffgaff sim in for £10 a month and i'm off !
Much better than £400odd for a 2nd hand Iphone or HTC Desire, (plus more money for the challenge!) hurrahh
In other news i've started to pay for my weekly swimming by monthly DD instead as its cheaper. My 20p and 10p loose change collection is growing, and i've just requested £20 from paypal from ebay sales. Nothing to update to total yet til it goes into bank, will prob do it next week when I get paid, so total still looks rather naff atm but will be adding hopefully a few hundred next week
Hope everyone's doing well and well done so far ! x#39 - Save £12k in 20250 -
Very annoying - my online bank statement is showing a debit card transaction of 2.99 this morning - with a date of 29 November 10! Why do they do this??? It's like they're trying to catch me out! Don't even know what it's for - hopefully more details will be showing tomorrow. Grr. Rant Over:mad:
Update - it was the P+P for that blinkin 'free' Quorn recipe book. Great book - but why take so long to take the money!?0 -
How frustrating for you goodgirl. How can a transaction that is almost two months old come out now? I'm sure you will, but when you find out what it is, make sure you check back to make sure it hasn't come out twice.
Take care

Thanks - I will. Sorry, I know it's not strictly relevant to the challenge but I just needed to vent!
Things seem to be steadily moving for your challenge - is Additions some kind of Store card?xx_michelle_xx wrote: »How frustrating for you goodgirl. That's ok, i'm sure no-one will mind
Additions is a catalogue with very high interest rates. I got around this by using their "take 3" scheme, so as long as you paid a 3rd of the balance, you'd get no interest added. But, as it goes, life went up the creek and i ignored them for 6 months, so the take 3 payments are now £400 +.

Made this up to 26.00/1243.22
31-01: Have asked for 9.28 from my paypal account, this will go on to next month's (March) payment
02-02: Have another 4.79 in paypal account, just have to sell a couple more things so I can withdraw. Also I need £1.85 to put back in my personal budget, poop.0 -
£10 paid in this morning from loose change bagged up - total now £241.73
I now have my Orange San FranciscoA friend on Orange rang up and got one for me with a discount so it only cost £79
Have unlocked it and activated my giffgaff SIM and topped up £10 which gets 250 mins and unlimited texts and internet
Just need to ask a clever friend at work if he'll help me get rid of the Orange stuff pre-installed on it.
I have also won an energy monitor! I completed a survey about the LIME sockets and widgets a while ago and was one of the first 1000 to respond apparently.#39 - Save £12k in 20250 -
Please can I join too? I paid 13,189 between March and August last year and got debt free.(yipee) but have not been disciplined enough to save at the same rate. (5500 was a lump sum payment, so I paid £7689 out of income. I'd like to set a figure of £7700 before August this year . I will only be able to make payments about every 2 weeks or so but will also count the shrapnel that goes into the piggy when I get back from shopping. It has £72.50 in at present so thats £76275 to go .0
