I've done it!!!!!!!!! really, I have, £200 today, so £7,700 before August 1st. Linz, thanks for setting the challenge, I wouldnt have done this otherwise. I think I'll have a month off and treat myself and fill up the cupboards, then come back in September with another target, probably £3000 by christmas. I'll keep visiting tho' and see how you do too. xxx

Well done Mrs I, really pleased for you :)

Have managed to transfer £950 to my Halifax Websaver thanks to some overtime I worked last month which has just been paid, so i've managed to reach my target of £3k a month early

    Halifax Websaver - £2250
First Direct Regular Saver - £1200 (with £300 to go into this as SO on 10th)
    Total £3450 (+ £300) :j

Won't be able to save any more this month I don't think, as i'm off on holiday at the end of the month, perfectly timed so that we leave the day before next pay day (!) so need to have holiday spends ready before I go. There's still a few odds and sods I need to buy, including travel insurance but have seen cheap deals through the tools on this site so shouldn't cost too much.

Have to think of another figure to aim for in Sept I think ;)
