  • Hi Hon,

    Can I please join :0)

I would like to aim for £5000 by the end of the year LOL - aim high I say.

I am hoping to go on a 12 week trip next year and this will certainly put a big dent in what I need.
My post count doesn't reflect the amount of time spent on here :0) I just keep forgetting my login details - now saved.
  • Hi everyone,

Have reached £1,183 on the savings front - feels like a bit of a slog, as I am debt busting at the same time. Hoping to reach my target by mid June though.

    BB
Original debt at LBM July 2008, £47, 654.34. Debt at January 2016, £21,443. Barclaycard [STRIKE]£9,000[/STRIKE]£8,756, Tesco cc [STRIKE]£3000[/STRIKE]£1,136. Debenhams storecard [STRIKE]£350[/STRIKE]£263, OD [STRIKE]£3,500[/STRIKE] £3,000, Corp Tax £3,036, Study loan £1,750, Smaller debts £2,000.

Since my LBM I have not been fully committed so now I have had a 2nd LBM.
Aiming to be debt free by December 2016:D

Hi all - another month gone by and another payslip. Put £60 away into the savings account yesterday - am currently shopping around for my car insurance (due this month) which I am hoping to get for under £150 for the year - one of the advantages of getting on a bit - the car insurance comes down. Anyway, I have now put away £300 so far this year, only another £2200 to save and another 10 paydays till the end of the year. Hope to start the car boot sales next month and sell loads of plants so that I can start putting away quite a bit more each month.

Will report back at the end of March when I have been paid again.
