another £500 in today, it is mounting up. I can hardly believe it, this is money, the majority of which would have been gobbled up by the black hole of life.0

I'm back with a new target to save £4000 by 31 August. I hope to get near to that figure anyway. Will be back in a few days when i've done some number crunching.
It's really good reading how everyone's getting on and what people's goals are. Good motivation too.#39 - Save £12k in 20250 -
Good for you, Linz keep the motivation going. £250 again today, so that is £4k, more than halfway. It will slow down this month as the car requires servicing and any work arising from that. But, will keep posting and reading.0

Thanks mrsinvisible.
So I've opened a couple of new savings accounts now one has matured which put me onto a crap interest rate. The First Direct Regular Saver at 8% that I want to put £300 a month into from the current account. The other one is the Halifax Websaver Reward at 3% (extra 0.2% for having their reward current account aswell) which will be for anything over the £300 going into First Direct.
I've transferred some money from current account to start them off and so far there is £300 in the FD and £50 in the Websaver. Will add a bit more later on in the month.
£350/£4000.#39 - Save £12k in 20250 -
Transferred another £250 from current account to Halifax Websaver as have more than I need in there to get me to the end of the month and have plenty of food in thanks to some Sainsburys vouchers a survey site sent me

Right here I am again, at last, after an expensive couple of weeks I can put £50 into this next lot of savings maybe more later in the week. Keep up the good work, I need the motivation the site gives me and your support, thanks.xx0

Thanks Linz and well done to you too. £200 today, as DD has paid her debt back, (she always does, but it takes time) But I have had to order a replacement pressure cooker and a steamer as BOTH of mine went phut yesterday. Grrr keep going tho, its the only way. xx0

Hi there - another payday has come and gone, however due to my car needing a service and costing more than I had imagined and also having done a couple of car boot sales and raising the grand sum of about a tenner after paying pitch fees - yes a tenner selling plants (perhaps people round here don't like gardening or it is still a bit early) only able to put £20 into my savings account this month. Will have another go at the car boots during May and hope that I can raise a bit more than the previous two - feel that they were a complete waste of a couple of afternoons but will do some more soon and see what happens! Perhaps when some of the plants are actually flowering it will help as some people won't be able to tell one sort of plant from another when it has just its leaves - time will tell. So that now makes savings of £420 so another £2080 to go and another 8 paydays to do it so need to save £260 a month to get to my target. Will post again at the end on May and let you know how the car boots are going.0
