Put another £500 away today, (pension came in) so fingers crossed that I might get there.

Hi Lippy, been meaning to post on here but I don't have much to update on as yet. Had to have new brake discs and 2 new tyres on the car in the last 2 months, as well as MOT and tax to pay as well. I did manage to get the MOT for £24 with an online deal I found and got the tyres from Blackcircles so I did manage to save a little bit but iit means i've not been able to add anything on here for a while :(

The good thing is I'm due a bonus at work at the end of this month so I will be adding that on pay day which will get me back on track and if I am REALLY frugal I may even reach my 3k target with July's wage rather than August's. We'll see.

My friend at work was telling me about some cheap recipes like sausage cassoulet and lentil curry that I'm going to make in the week with some of the staples from my food cupboard. Off to Ascot next weekend so trying to save for that really and use up what food I have rather than go shopping. All I needed to buy was turmeric, I had the rest luckily. Morrisons had some good yellow stickered stuff while I was there so got a bag of potatoes for 16p and a diced onion in a packet for 5p:rotfl:

Right, i'm rambling. Back on pay day on 30th :money:

Hi, nice one, Linz. I have managed £300 today, and there's £75 in the piggy, I might not make the full total by August, but I will keep on trying.

pension came in today, so a massive £650 into the savings today, by my reckoning there is £750 to go to reach the target. I dont want to tempt fate, but barring accidents, I could hit the target by end of July so heres hoping. Good luck everyonexx

I just transferred £900 from a bonus I got at work :) plus the SO to First Direct 8% account comes out on 10th, so counting that too, I now have £2489/£3000. Just £511 to go ;)

Put another £200 away today, so £500 to go, and counting!! Well done Linz, and on earning a bonus! What shall we do to celebrate if we reach our goal?

I think it's the last one i'll get for a long while ! I'm off on holiday on 31 Aug so that will be my small treat ;)

I'll probably give myself something else to aim for I think. Keeps me focussed.

Been getting rid of bits and bobs on ebay recently and i'm quite enjoying it. My mum and dad have given me a load of their stuff to sell aswell now but anything I make i'm giving back to them when it builds up.
