Of course you can join in Ginger. :)

I'm wondering whether to edit the first post or not as everyone here has different aims over different periods of the year. I'm still keeping to my 31 March target for the moment, but will probably carry on throughout the year setting myself more short-term targets. It helps motivate me into looking for stuff to ebay, cooking/meal planning and being more strict with myself when out shopping. :)

    Hi Linz,

Would you like me to set up a list of all the people taking part and the targets, as they do on other threads?

Yeh, you can do if you don't mind - if you post a list i'll edit the first post a bit.

    Cheers

I would like to save GBP1000 by the end of the year. This is going into a savings account, in the event that I dont get maintenance for a month and therefore can cover my bills. Ideally I would like to save GBP1000 but given my current situation that wont be possible - maybe next year.

Can someone point me in the right direction? I keep seeing daily clicks mentioned - what is that and where can I find some info on it?

    Thanks,

    Lea74,

Have a read of the first post in this thread which is all about daily clicks - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2132075

It doesn't pay a lot but if you stick at it the pennies will start to trickle in after a while. If you're interested start with Speedcashback, they are the best at the mo. (On Speed you have to do each click one at a time and close the windows before starting the next one or they don't track.)

If you have any questions post them on the thread at the end and someone will answer you.

All the best with your savings.

    Hi Linz,

Can I join this challenge please.

I am looking to save £5000 by the end of June this year for an emergency fund - I am in a temporary job at the moment which could finish at the end of July so want to have a cushion if it does come to an end.

So far I've managed to save £918 so have to find £4,082 by the end of June.

    BB
Original debt at LBM July 2008, £47, 654.34. Debt at January 2016, £21,443. Barclaycard [STRIKE]£9,000[/STRIKE]£8,756, Tesco cc [STRIKE]£3000[/STRIKE]£1,136. Debenhams storecard [STRIKE]£350[/STRIKE]£263, OD [STRIKE]£3,500[/STRIKE] £3,000, Corp Tax £3,036, Study loan £1,750, Smaller debts £2,000.

Since my LBM I have not been fully committed so now I have had a 2nd LBM.
Aiming to be debt free by December 2016:D
  • morning, have added again, so wooohooo £1000 saved. only£6700 to go; its a nice feeling.
