  • Hello Pennies. I might have a look into the Tesco vouchers as a good idea and wont feel guilty about it then.

Ive sorted out the budget and at the mo we have £900 in the savings for DH to have time off when baby comes :D:j So happy as need a £1000 to cover his lack of wage for 2 weeks! So we are nearly there. Must must must sell some things so it can help with things i need to buy for the baby. Then i can sort out some savings for holiday spends......always something!!

evening :) Just a quick update before I go and hang the washing and then crash for the night as im very tired.
Been to the bank so all money is sorted and put into the right evenvelops etc :) Also went to iceland (£49 worse of now) and to home bargains ( £29 worse of which £17 was food!) So the GC has already been hit :)

Have started to think of all the things I need for the baby (and for ds as he wont be able to use things as baby needs them) and its adding up!! Arrr But atleast we have a good start on the savings so need to start looking out for bargains and get ordering some bits.............Need a matress for the cotbed (for DS to go into) and one for the Crib. So want to find some good deals but dont want to get bad ones or cant get second hand ones as would never risk it!!

    Good night x

    Hello Diary.
Have had a lovely weekend - but both days were spend days
First car payment has gone out today and we had a letter saying the old one has been settled and all sorted! Was better to see the lower amount come out of bank :) have a extra £55 a mth now from that :D
Have started doing the online spending diary - its good as it shows in a pie chart all you have spent etc and give the totals for the mth - hopeing we stick to it and will be good to show DH it aswell.
Told him that we only have £100 for petrol for the mth and he was like 'well that will be more then enough' but once I explained how much we actually use and if we go to parents etc how much it costs he realised its not to much - I will try and spend less of course and any we dont spend goes in the holiday jar :)

Yesterday we went to IKEA to have a look at storage for the living room and also a TV cabnet as ive been looking out for one for ages! Im so glad we were very sensible and didnt buy ANYTHING!!! we are being sensible and will save for things first and make sure we can afford what we chose and that its best for what we need - so not what we used to be like lol.
We did get some wallpaper for the living room that was on offer got enough for one wall (which is very badly plastered so hoping it will hide some of it :p) and some paint for the fireplace wall :) Was really cheap and im happy we are getting the house all nice looking and at bargain prices!! Need to look out for some cheap curtains now - but our window is massive so ones that fit all cost a fortune!!! I will find a bargain though lol............

    Afternoon mummy,

Yay that your car payment has gone down by £55 a month thats fab :j. We budget £100 for our petrol too, but im not too sure if that wont be enough for us so weve got an 'emergency fund' of £40 just incase too!! Good idea to save your petrol money you dont spend into the jar.

Have you managed to find new mattresses yet? I would never risk it either. Ive just sold my cotbed and mattress actually to my auntie for her granddaughter. Shes got a right bargain too cost me over £300 brand new . Have you tried babies r us? Thats where I got DD's from a found the cheapest at the time. Or even kiddicare online, never used them but ive heard they are very cheap.

Is it 7 weeks til baby now? Hope your well anyway x x

    Evening Diray :)

Mummytogirls - thanks for saying to check babies r us as ive had a look and they have there good ones on offer at half price at the mo - so i think ill go and get one tomorrow - as long as the offer is still on...... yep just under 7 weeks now :) But i know it will be longer as my babies tend to be to comfy and dont like to come out till very late lol

Pips mum - its hard to not spend loads and get loads isnt it :) it was nearly closing so we didnt get to look around loads which helped in us not buying anything :D

Smarties - yes I like it there aslong as its not toooo busy!! I think its good furniture and feels loads better then some flat packs we have had before......worth looking again I would say :)

Have had the first NSD today :) Seems to take forever to have a day where I dont spend lol.

Thanks to mummytogirls and her tallys for surveys ive decided to take more note on what surveys I do and how near to cash out etc. When Ive checked all of them ill nick her idea (hope you dont mind :o) and list them on here. Ive just logged into mysurveys and had enough points for £15 of amazon vouchers so ive ordered them :) ALWAYS things we can get from there....

Must go and do a few more surveys :) I normally just wait for the emails so will make more effort to log into them as often as possible

Morning mummy, glad youve found a cheap deal on the mattresses :T.

Awwww I cant take credit for the survey listing, think I stole that idea from someone elses diary !!
It does help me keep track though and you know which sites to visit when you are near the payout limit.

Well thanks to the person you knicked it off then :):p
I cant go and get the mattress today as dd is of school ( They have all had this little bug now. Just temp heahache etc so not to bad and the others got better soon so hopefully she will be ok tomorrow.......
Desperatly need to shopping as keep having to pop to the local shop which is more money!! So will have to go at some point over the weekend...... Will try and go and get the matresse etc aswell... Need to find a good deal on a strealiser as well as ours doesnt work great so dont want to risk it with a new born.... Going to cost a fortune out of the money I had saved for DH paternity though :( So will have to work back up the savings.....
Been to MW this morning and all seems well. I am starting to nest and want the whole house sorted lol So am slowly sorting bits out and chuck loads of broken bits out and sort out things for ebay/freecycle. Takes me ages with the SPD but getting there :) (also trying to do it around the kiddies)

A quick update while I get a few mins quiet :)
DD and DH are at football at the mo and the other 2 dds are watching a film.

Today WILL be a BIG spend day!!!! Arrrrr hate spending now lol. I am going to babies r us, have seem the mattresse and steraliser are on offer and cheapest (plus I got the gold club vouchers so can get a little extra off aswell :) Also need toget a few baby grows (all my neutral ones have worn out lol) But wont get to many bits as if its a boy DS bits are still ok - the pinks have manily been worn out aswell!! lol

I am doing well with all the surveys :) Trying to aim for as many amazon vouchers at the mo as I need a new single buggy (which folds very small and will fit in the car next to the double) and they have one that will fit cheapest at the mo ) So any vouchers i can get will save on that - at £15 still at the mo.................

Well best go and sort some more washing and do some tidying while the kids are happy.
