Deep breaths and one thing at a time cheri (I hope you've left it for tonight!). You can only do what you can do. If those things *need* to be written before Wednesday, and you are *needed* to be at an event for two days, then the powers that be had better find someone else to write them.
Is that really your house??? The pinkish one with the six windows and the little bush in front?? Wow!!! How utterly fabulous, no wonder you're excited! :T :T:T0 -
(sorry, the house thing was in reference to the link on Pippi's thread, I've got everything open at once and am getting in a muddle! :rotfl:)0

Thanks Cheery, that is exactly the attitude I am adopting as of now. No more trying to do everything and feeling rubbish at not getting things done. Ooh, now Pippi, where is your thread... I'll have to come and have a look!
Cheri, I was reading about "mindfulness sleeping" the other night... it gives you all the usual "sleep hygiene" stuff about making sure you go to bed at the same time and get up at the same time, no TV/computer/anything to keep your mind alert an hour before bed...
But what it did say was to concentrate on your breathing and breathing from your belly when going to sleep as this, apparently, helps you stop from focusing on you being unable to sleep and obviously helps slow your breathing and calms you down ready for sleep.
Now, how that works in practice, I'm less sure because when I tried "mindfulness walking" where you, apperently, concentrate on your feet connecting with the payment and how many breathes you take per step, I found I forgot how to walk and tripped up over my own feet. I guess the bonus with the sleep stuff is you will be in bed and less likely to hurt yourself if it all goes wrong! :rotfl:
And thank you for the cabbage recipe. I got one in my veggie box. At least I assume it's a cabbage. Every now and again I get unidentifiable veggies and I have to make an educated guess. (Actually that's a lie. It's always a random guess based on how the vegetable looks, so I reckon I have witches hat cabbage right now.) And I was wondering what to do with it.Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Nic, Pippis patch is really fun, inspiring and full of useful information. You should visit you will love it over there.
Now funnily enough I tried the breathing thing last night, not very well it would seem. It has worked in the past but nothing worked last night for some reason. I am now feeling very tired as I am typing and giggling at theno TV/computer/anything to keep your mind alert an hour before bed...
Hope you work out if it is cabbage and that you like the recipe. I havent made it for many years but I recently got my carribean cookbook out because my friend is visiting and she loves my key lime pie so I was going to make it for her. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. She did indeed Pippi. It is so easy to remember that until you have people shouting for things all at the same time. I have taken a step back and started to see the bigger picture. Out today and tomorrow so have set up my diary for Thursday to Monday to ensure certain things get done at certain times to meet deadlines. I need to get back to the very organised (anal?) me that I used to be.

"He who reigns within himself and rules his passions, desires and fears is more than a King" John Milton.
Saw this and thought of you Cheri. For seizing your dream.(Might have made even more sense if the big long post I just did on my diary had not just disappeared into the ether. Pah!)
