Hope you managed to get back to sleep, brain dumping does work for me & OH too, when there's just too many ideas spinning around to settle.
Congrats on finishing off the personal loan. Chester sounded really nice.

I noticed the awful time you were awake, over on my thread - you poor thing, that really sounds horrible, *and* to have to give presentations too ... does coffee help when its that bad? I used to get sort of dizzy with tiredness, and the only thing that would help is to lay down for half an hour - easy for me, working from home, hope you can look after yourself.

Boo to broken sleep!
It's probably just that 'first day back' thing, too much whizzing round in your head, and best thing is just to dump it all out. I often found that I slept worse on Sunday night than any other night in the week.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Thanks everybody. Well I went back to bed at 5.30 and finally fell asleep only to have the alarm go off at 7! So I turned it off, turned over and slept for another hour.
Funny thing is I didn't have stuff whizzing around in my head, I just couldnt go back to sleep. Still I do believe the more you try the harder it is.
KC - luckily I work from home most of the time. I am with you on the dizzy thing but then as I have menieres it doesnt take much for me to fall over. I scheduled today to be at home because I knew that I would have a lot to come back to. My work isnt covered when I am off and there is usually lots to be updated on. True to form, 201 emails in my in box and 2 things that are priority and need to be written by Wednesday. As I am working away on Tuesday and Wednesday at a public event (not presentations this time - all day full on meeting and greeting and workshops) there was no way I could leave them today. So emails on hold, 2 papers written and one read with notes ready for a meeting on Thursday Quite proud of how much I have gotten done today. I managed to categorize my emails, put them into seperate folders and block set times out in my diary from Thursday onwards to do the work on each category. Not stopped for lunch or a cuppa mind until now. Just waiting for the kettle to boil so thought I would mosey around the diaries. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Ooo yes please Pippi, earl grey? I just hopped back over from your side - did you wonder why the light was on and nobody home?
Thanks KC, admirable? maybe not but determined and trying to focus - yes. My bosses are quite stressed at the moment and before my holidays I was getting bogged down with it to the extent I started to feel ill. Hence booking 2 weeks off to try to recover some ground. Not worked completely but if I focus on things here and not get embroiled in stuff I should be ok. After all we are not brain surgeons or emergency service so I realise that the world wont explode if we dont get something done. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons.
