I think an occasional day like that is essential, tbh, Cheri. Good for you2023: the year I get to buy a car0
-
Ooh, that sounds like a lovely day cheri! :T :T How fabulous not to have that stress hanging over you any more! :T :T
What's next? (I don't mean stress wise?! I mean in terms of will you be aiming to move over there? Or save up and rent it out for a while, or what? Or do you have another dream to pursue in the meantime??)0 -
Well Cheery, stress just hit again when Mr C came home. Why do I never learn to just nod in the right placed and just hmmm really. We are now sitting on opposite sides of the room pulling faces!!
Well, the house will be rented out for the foreseeable future whilst I formulate my plans. In the meantime I will be trying to get through each month and learning how to deal with certain issues in a much more civilised manner. I do wish that I could work out how to avoid getting myself embroiled in a drama that doesnt actually exist. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Ouch, Cheri ... if you find the answer to that one, though, let us know ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Yep and me, I do that all the time
Being of a patient and peaceful and cheerful disposition myself, the, er, opposite sides of my character come out when faced with someone who isn't being *quite* as patient and peaceful and cheerful as I think they should be
:rotfl:
(((hugs for you )))))))) though, it's always hard to deal with xxx0 -
Cheery
Here's a couple of quote for your amusement and collection...
Discussion is an exchange of knowledge; an argument an exchange of ignorance.
Which arguments belong to fear and which to creativeness?
I once stopped my OH in his argumentative tracks by responding "Do you know, I think you're right". It took him so by surprise that he couldn't think of anything else to say. Mind you, it only worked once

What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
:rotfl: satchmo
Our arguments are often stopped in their tracks just by me being so darn reasonable and OH realising he was being a pratNot that I'm perfect or anything, by any means - but he IS astonishingly grumpy - I've never argued with a boyfriend before (and in fact was once berated by one for not shouting back! :rotfl: Boy how he'd be proud of me now
).
Of course, I often use OH's grumpiness as an excuse to be grumpy myself when I'd otherwise check my behaviourAnd I'm MORE than capable of being grumpy and unreasonable myself - just not as often - so I get a bit smug and self righteous about it sometimes
:rotfl:
Ah well, I suppose there's always a lesson in there somewhere!0 -
Love the exchange of ignorance bit ......2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Satchmo, great quotes and so true. Cheery did you write that last post or me? I am a very postive, happy kind of person more often than not and I find grumpiness is the one thing that winds me up. I find it particularly annoying when people harp on about woe is me look what happened to me 10/15/20 years ago. I argue that as long as a person keeps feeling like a victim then the other people are still winning! (for this I am talking about friends more than Mr C although he has spent so many years in their company and his Dad is just the same and a drama queen to boot that he slips into that mode without even realising it). As for the arguing with a boyfriend I am the same as you Cheery, never had so many misunderstandings and disagreements in my life. Do you think that means we have found our soulmates because we feel that we can argue and disagree.
Right Money bits
Crowdology £4.24 moved across to bank account - the only survey site I still bother with but will try to get back into a couple of others. 1 watcher on 1 item on ebay, not great but hey ho.
Off to check out the make £10 a day thread (is there an echo didnt I say that yesterday? )Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
